We are back in the beautiful Voralpenland region, at the contact between The Bavarian Alps and the hilly area to the north of the mountains. We drive from Füssen, famous for its neaby castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, to the historical town of Schongau, admiring the scenic landscape of Voralpenland region. We had a sunny winter day, and enjoyed cruising between pastures and forests at altitudes between 700m and 800m, with great views to the mountains. Enjoy!

Oberammergau is a municipality in the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in Bavaria, Germany. The small town on the Ammer River is known for its woodcarvers and woodcarvings.
Partnach Gorge or Partnachklamm Garmisch-Partenkirchen
Partnachklamm or Partnach Gorge is so far one of the best Gorge that I had the chance to visit. Amazing place that I can easily recommend to visit if you are in this area of Germany. It's not hard walk and it's pretty safe and definitely a natural beauty. It's not too long but because of the attractiveness you will stay for a long time. The mountain river Parnach is flowing through the 702 meter long gorge that is also in some places 80 m deep. 1912. it was designed as a natural monument. It's now the beginning of September and there is not much water as in Spring or the raining season.
The cost of the entrance is 6 euro.
All in all it has my recommendations for sure.
P.S. If you are here with the car, on weekends, it's almost impossible to find a parking after 11 or 12 o'clock, so my suggestion is to go here 47.483398,11.125111
It's only a 5 min walk to the Stadium and on the way to the Gorge.
