Check our my recent video: Thai Food Guide: 10 Delicious Thai Foods You Should Eat in Thailand 2017
Satun is in the south of Thailand, on the border with Malaysia. It has some of the most beautiful islands in Thailand, including Koh Lipe, as well as waterfalls, national parks and the food there is amazing! There is plenty of delicious Thai street food at the food markets and some amazing Thai restaurants too. We ate some scrumptious Thai food while we were traveling in Satun!

You’ll find Thai street food on many street corners in Thailand, as well as at every market, be it in Koh Lipe, Satun, Krabi, Phuket, Bangkok or Pattaya. Thai food markets are one of the best places to buy fresh and authentic Thai food while you travel in Thailand. There are loads of Thai food markets and night market all over Thailand, you’re never far from one. At the markets you'll find so many Thai dishes on offer and the foods here are cheap, and so tasty! And in case you’re worried, eating Thai street food is perfectly safe. It’s what the locals eat and it is cooked fresh and sold quickly. I’ve been eating it nearly daily since I moved to Thailand in 2012 and my friends who have been to visit and tour Thailand have all eaten it, and none of us have had any problems. Thai street food is some of the best Thai food you’ll find in Thailand!
The markets in Thailand are also a great place to get an insight into Thai culture while you travel in Thailand. You can shop alongside the locals and learn what they buy and eat. And the markets are a great place to try traditional Thai street foods, learn Thai recipes and cooking, as well as eat some of the best Thai dishes in Thailand. You'll see the people cooking the food right in front of you. And best of all, the food is cheap, often much cheaper than eating in a Thai restaurant. Eating at markets is a good way to eat cheap on your Thailand holidays.
Make sure you check out some Thai food markets on your trip to Thailand, and be sure to sample some of the amazing Thai street food that's available in Thailand! If you want to try some of the most delicious food in the world be sure to visit Thailand!
Subscribe to my channel for my latest vlog and for more videos on what to do in Thailand and what to eat in Thailand. I post new Thailand food and travel videos and vlogs every Wednesday about Thailand: places to see, things to do, tours, Thai food, Thailand markets, Thai festivals & culture, street food, Thai recipes, eating Thai food, hotels, resorts, villas, restaurants, Thailand holidays, tourism, accommodation & Thailand travel, including Satun, Phuket, Ao Nang, Krabi and other Thailand destinations.
Krabi is about 2-3 hours from Phuket by land or sea, and has world class accommodation standards comparable to what you find in Phuket hotels and resorts, but in a more relaxed environment.
If you're looking into Thailand Hotels have a look at hotels and resorts in Krabi. The islands and beaches of Krabi are famous for Thailand holidays, the movie The Beach was filmed on Krabi's Koh Phi Phi Island.

Thailand Tourism Update From Satun, Thailand | February 2022
*Video Description*
I've just returned from a very quick visit to Pakbara in Satun, Thailand. My wife was keen to get away somewhere as there was a Buddhist holiday yesterday and I was quite interested in seeing what the tourist situation looked like. Most tourists in Thailand at the moment are in one of the sandbox locations. I don't believe Satun is a sandbox destination, but prior to the current health scare the islands off Satun province were popular tourist destinations.
*How I Book Hotels In Thailand And Elsewhere*
I always use Agoda to book hotels. I get the best price (with a money back guarantee if I find a better deal) and great service. Agoda is a company I trust and recommend. Use the following link to book your next hotel room!
*Are You Interested In Learning How To Read Basic Thai?*
Being able to read some basic Thai is an extremely useful skill, and actually it's quite easy. Even I can do it! Here's a link to my other YouTube channel:

Tour Satun Satun, Thailand we love satun
Satun, with a population of about 22,000, is the gateway to Thailand's southern-most islands in the Andaman Sea. There is an abundance of pristine nature and mountainous forests with more than eighty beautiful surrounding islands. The best-known islands are Ko Tarutao, Ko Adang, Ko Rawi and Ko Lipe. Satun is only a few kilometres from the Andaman Sea but a whopping 940 km from Bangkok. Although a majority Muslim population town, Satun has largely escaped the strife that plagues some of the neighbouring provinces of Narathiwat and Pattani, Satun is a safe and very friendly place to visit. Satun covers an area of 2,478 sq km. Geographically, it features high hills. On the eastern side, there is a plain, mountainous forests and water sources. The plain and mountains together with a basin lie in the middle near the coast. Along the coastal line is a plain and an occasionally-flooded mangrove forest where mangrove and Samae trees are mostly foun
