Santa Rosa de Cabal, what most people don't see!
We went back to Santa Rosa de Cabal just outside of Pereira to discovered some of the many things that we missed the first time I visited, this time we didi the Tour of the Colonizers La Ruta de los Colonizadores
We started the day visiting la Postrera where we had breakfast and its a perfect place ti visit with family and friends specially if you have children as they have a kids part so they can play while you enjoy your meal and the views.
We then visited Lagos de Venecia or Venecia's Lakes which specialised in fishing and other related activities but I would say that the thing that stands the most is an Adults park so you can go back to your childhood playing in all of the attractions, I had a lot of fun.
We also heard the story of the town and how it was founded, a story that allows you to understand the strong culture and traditions that they have.
We visited a local museum run by the priest on a beautiful house that used to be a seminary, they have collected some incredible items and each of them have a great story to be told.
To finish we went to Don Julio's Restaurant to have lunch a traditional recipe with the very famous Chorizo de Santa Rosa de Cabal sausage and ended the day listening to some typical live music while we enjoyed a good coffee in the rainy afternoon.
Thanks to Asoturismo for letting us go with them and learn about this new but beautiful project that was created for the development of the region.
