A Tour of OAXACA City / Mitla & Tule / Mexico Travel 2023
Oaxaca City is located in southern Mexico and is the capital of the eponymous Mexican state of Oaxaca. The state is best known for its indigenous peoples and cultures- Zapotec and Mixtec, as well as for the traditional Oaxacan food. The city is often called the food capital of Mexico.
Oaxaca, together with the nearby archeological site of Monte Albán, was designated in 1987 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Oaxaca city is a very lively and pretty place where you can wander around the colorful streets and spend time in the city's main square - Zocalo, have a delicious Mexican dish and enjoy the vibrant ambiance.
Oaxaca is also home of mezcal and where more than 90% of all Mexico mezcal is produced. Mezcal is the national spirit of Mexico.
Mezcal is a distilled alcoholic beverage. It is made from agave (specifically Agave americana)
Tequila is a form of mezcal, though they are distilled differently — mezcal is cooked in an underground oven, and tequila is boiled.
You can join one of the many mezcal tours, learn about the process of making and taste different sorts of mezcal drinks.
The video also features the archaeological site and ruins of Mitla, which is located about 44km from Oaxaca and is associated with the Zapotec and Mixtec cultures.
The video ends with a visit of Tule, located also in the state of Oaxaca. The city is popular with its Tree of Tule - one of the world's oldest trees, considered to be more than 2000 years old.

Hidalgo Mexico what to do when visiting Hidalgo. #hidalgo #mexico
We visited several places in the state of Hidalgo including the very first Pueblo magico, Tolantongo, Tula and Real del Monte. Hidalgo Mexico.
YOU need to visit these 10 PLACES when going to MEXICO
Mexico, country of southern North America and the third largest country in Latin America, after Brazil and Argentina. The cultural remnants of great pre-Columbian civilizations, such as Teotihuacán or the Mayan pyramids at Chichén Itzá and Tulum, provide a contrast to colonial towns such as Taxco or Querétaro. In turn, these towns appear as historical relics when compared with the modern metropolis of Mexico City.
Let's see these amazing sights together and share your thoughts with us in the comments below.

Hidalgo, Mexico
Located in central Mexico, Hidalgo has a temperate climate, many natural areas, and towns with an impressive cultural heritage. In this state, you can visit Real del Monte, an old mining town that has picturesque houses and buildings with red tile roofs, which is why it is part of the Tourism Secretariat's Magical Towns of Mexico program. Here you can visit some old mines like the Mina de Acosta, where they are still extracting small quantities of precious metals. In the surrounding areas, you'll find the town of Huasca de Ocampo, which is near former mining haciendas San Miguel and Santa Maria Regla. These haciendas have been converted into luxurious hotels. During your stay there you can visit the Prismas Basalticos, the Capilla de la Virgen Negra, the San Antonio Dam and El Chico Natural Park, which has recreational areas where you can go camping and rock climbing.
In the city of Pachuca, the state capital, you can check out Baroque and neoclassic buildings, such as the Capilla de Nuestra Señora de la Luz and the Ex-Convent of San Francisco, which currently houses one of Latin America's most important photo collections. Many of the shots are images of the Mexican Revolution.
In western Hidalgo, known for its excellent cuisine, you can try the region's famous pastes (English-style turnovers) and baked barbacoa (a popular mutton dish). There you can also visit the Tula archaeological site, one of ancient Mexico's most important ceremonial centers. At the ruins you'll see figures called atlantes, 4-meter (15-foot) sculptures which are considered important symbols of the state of Hidalgo.
Tule Tree | The Worlds Widest Tree | Santa Maria del Tule | Oaxaca | English | Subtitles | Mexico
In this video I am visiting the town of Santa Maria del Tule, to see the widest tree in the world - the Tue Tree. This is a great additional to any trips to Mexico you may have planned.
This tree is amazing. Before seeing the tree I decided to explore the town, which was super pretty and well maintained. You can tell this is a tourist place.
If you are looking for a unique place to visit during your Mexico holiday, why not check out one of the biggest trees in the world. It may not be the tallest tree in the world, but it is one of the oldest, and the widest tree in the world.
Who would have thought one of the largest trees was found in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Please note, this video is in English, not Spanish but I do have subtitles. There are English Subtitles, French Subtitles and Spanish Subtitles.

Basaltic Prisms of Santa Maria Regla | English | Subtitles | Canadian in Mexico
The basaltic prisms of Santa Maria Regla are a marvelous natural wonder. They formed when volcanic lava cooled in the area. The columns of Basalt cooled into these neat prism shapes.
Here you can see waterfalls that flow from the dam on the property.
