Durante uno dei nostri giri in Toscana abbiamo fatto una piacevole scoperta.
A Castiglion Fiorentino c’è una panchina gigante che se ne sta silenziosa, punta sui paesaggi della Val di Chiana e fa compagnia alla Torre del Cassero. È stata realizzata con i colori della bandiera italiana come simbolo di ritorno alla normalità dopo la pandemia. Non è solo un bel luogo da fotografare. Al tramonto si tinge di dolci sfumature ed anche solo 10/15 minuti seduto qui, riposi la mente, almeno questo è quello che è successo a noi.

In Castiglion Fiorentino there is a giant bench that sits silently, overlooking the landscapes of the Val di Chiana and keeping the Torre del Cassero company. It was made with the colors of the Italian flag as a symbol of the return to normality after the pandemic. It's not just a beautiful place to photograph. At sunset it is tinged with sweet shades and even just 10/15 minutes sitting here, you rest your mind, at least this is what happened to us.

Santa Croce Camerina, Sicily is a town and comune in the province of Ragusa, Sicily, in southern Italy. As of 2017 its population was of 10,973.
The current mayor (2022) is Giovanni Baroni
Santa Croce Camerina was first mentioned by King Roger II of Sicily in 1151. In 1470 the village was handed over to the baron Pietro Celesti, who began renovating the town.
The municipal territory of Santa Croce is surrounded by Ragusa to the north, and the coastline to the south. The hamlets or villages that belong to Santa Croce to the south are the villages of Causzze, Kaukana, Punta Secca and Punta Braccetto. The village of Punta Braccetto is shared with Ragusa.

The beach of Punta Secca extends for 6 km from Santa Croce Camerina, along the south east coast of Sicily, 30 km from Ragusa, and it has a fine golden sandy beach with shallow waters. At the ends of the beach there are charming rocky outcrops where the crystalline water becomes very clear. At sunset, this beach has a breathtaking and suggestive charm. The popularity of this place, which became famous thanks to the tv series “Inspector Montalbano”, has caused the beach to be very crowded in summer, especially during weekends.

IL FARO DI CAPO SCALAMBRI A PUNTA SECCA
Il faro di Punta Secca fu progettato dall’ingegnere Nicolò Diliberto D’Anna, il quale consegnò gli estimi ed il progetto alle autorità committenti il 24 novembre 1857, al fine di essere sottoposto alle procedure di gara d’appalto. L’ingegnere Diliberto previde una torre circolare alta 36 metri, il cui muro innalzato con conci (blocchi di pietra) regolari rastremati (cioè che si assottigliano andando verso l'alto) risultò spesso 1,75 metri alla base e 78 cm in cima. Una scala a chiocciola autoreggente su un pilone centrale e ad incastro nelle pareti della torre, composta da 128 gradini in pietra pece di Ragusa più quattro gradini di ferro, permetteva di raggiungere il fuoco della lanterna posto a 33,80 metri dalla base.
