Salgar to Puerto Colombia Atlántico, Colombia - Drone

#Barranquilla #PuertoColombia #Salgar Hello Again. Welcome to see with me Puerto Colombia, This is going to be a 9 Km round trip in 4 minutes!
The town enjoyed a glorious post-colonial period as the main port on the Caribbean coast of Colombia, where most European immigrants entered the country. In the second half of the 20th century, Puerto Colombia faced a rapid decline, eclipsed by Barranquilla, the capital of Atlántico and a new port: Bocas de Ceniza.

Thanks to recent free trade agreements with Canada, the United States of America and many European countries, the municipality has been included in Barranquilla's metropolitan area and its port
has undergone large-scale redevelopment. The focus of important public-private partnerships, Puerto Colombia is expected to regain its prominent role as the main sea port of Colombia within a decade.
This flight although was short, it started from Salgar Castle and the straight distance to the port is 4Km
I took off with a fully charged battery and when I arrived over the port, the remaining charge was 75%
I started shooting videos and at 70% of remaining charge, the drone ordered me return. I did it immediately!
I landed with 36% of remaining charge. I would stay more time, but the wind conditions also would change.
That mean flying against the wind forces the propellers and I might ended up landing “in the sea” forever!

Trip to the Towns of Western Antioquia, Colombia (Full HD)

For Christmas 2022, we decided to take a short trip to a handful of small towns all over Western Antioquia in Colombia, all around Medellin.

Our trip started from Medellin, early morning on the 23rd of December,
and our first stop was San Jeronimo, about 45 mins drive from Medellin.

From San Jeronimo, we were headed to one of the more popular towns called Santa Fe de Antioquia, known for its colonial buildings and cobblestone-paved roads. We spend the 23rd and the 24th nights there.

From Santa Fe de Antioquia, we took off to our next destination, Ciudad Bolivar which was a 2-hour drive south covering 110 km.

From Ciudad Bolivar, we visited Jardin, another 1 and a half hours away. Jardin is known for its brightly painted houses and colorful floral displays.

From Jardin, we headed off to Jerico, where we spent the night as well. The hotel where we stayed at had amazing views and the churches of this town were magnificent.

From Jerico, we headed off to Titiribi, which was the last town on our list, and from Titiribi, we headed back to Medellin on the 26th night.

It was an amazing experience overall, and the video is proof of it.

Hope you enjoy it!!!

Welcome to Colombia’s Golden Gate 🏅 #shorts

Barranquilla lies strategically next to the delta of the Magdalena River, one of the main rivers in Colombia, flowing northwards for around 1500 km through the west half of the country before emptying into the Caribbean Sea.

Owing to large quantities of sediment, as seen by the extensive sediment plume at its mouth and the brownish colour of its waters, the Magdalena requires frequent dredging of its main channel to allow access to Barranquilla’s port for oceangoing vessels.
