We visited the complex of the copper smelting plant in the village of Voskresenskoye, Meleuzovsky district, Republic of Bashkortostan. This is another of the places in Bashkiria that is worthy of your attention.

The city was founded in 1618 by Cossacks, growing greatly after Stalin's industrialization which helped it build the nation's largest coal mines and steel plants.
With a population of over 548,000, the city harbors many post-secondary Universities for both engineering and medicine.
The city also has nationally-acclaimed hockey and rugby teams, and has many municipal transportation systems in place.
I guess if you want to know from first hand experience, it's a great city but does have it's flaws just like any big city. Crime is obviously big in certain regions, and you can sense the smog from the city's steel mill throughout the region. However if you drive out by 30 minutes it's easy to find cottage country and many other natural landscape features.
