La Hacienda de Cerro Gordo - Salamanca,gto.
La capilla de la hacienda fue inaugurada el 8 de diciembre de 1853, mismo año en el que el dictador, Antonio López de Santa Anna se autoproclamó como Alteza Serenísima de México.
Guillermo Muñoz y luego Ramón Muñoz se ostentaban como los propietarios de la Hacienda de Cerro Gordo. Años más tarde, sin que tenga aun la fecha exacta, la Hacienda pasa a propiedad de Antonio Rodríguez, quien, en una partida de cartas la apuesta, pierde y la hacienda pasa a propiedad de unos conocidos hacendados del norte de la villa de Salamanca, los Covarrubias, de ese modo, Cerro Gordo se anexiona a la hacienda de Ancón y muchas más de las que estos personajes eran propietarios. Es para cuando aparecen en la escena rural salmantina, unos españoles de apellido Argomedo, corría el último cuarto del siglo XIX cuando ellos compran la hacienda.
