Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.

In order to fulfill this calling in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)



Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, glide over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and see the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

Relaxing travel POV photography in Israel.

The city occupies a strategic location, sitting in a natural harbour at the extremity of Haifa Bay on the coast of the Mediterranean's Levantine Sea. Aside from coastal trading, it was an important waypoint on the region's coastal road and the road cutting inland along the Jezreel Valley. The first settlement during the Early Bronze Age was abandoned after a few centuries but a large town was established during the Middle Bronze Age. Continuously inhabited since then, it is among the oldest continuously inhabited settlements on Earth. It has, however, been subject to conquest and destruction several times and survived as little more than a large village for centuries at a time. Acre was an important city during the Crusades, and was the site of several battles. It was the last city held by the Crusaders in the Levant before it was captured in 1291.

This charming city with approximately 50,000 inhabitants, known locally as Akko or Akka is one of the oldest ports in the world. A larger town was set up between 1500 and 2000 BC. Since then, this place remains one of the oldest continuously inhabited settlements on Earth. Discover with us a rich cultural and historical heritage shaped by the Romans, Ottomans, Crusaders, Mamluks, Byzantines and British.
The harbor in the city was a particularly important and busy place from the classical age right until the medieval period. The original harbor is now silted up, and all that is left is this small, quiet fishing harbor full of colorful local fishing boats and yachts. From there it is possible to take a unique tour of the city walls from the sea.

ISRAEL - Nahal Snir Nature Reserve. שמורת נחל שניר

Nahal Snir, located in the upper galilee it is one of the three main sources (the Dan, the Banyas and the Snir) that make up the Jordan river. The stream starts it's journey in neighboring Lebanon where it is known as The Hasbani, only a small part of the stream flows into Israel. The hike we did took about 2 hours, we walked over rocky paths, climbed a hill to a lookout point and finally did some wading in the icy cold waters of the stream. Our visit in November was just before the winter rains, another few weeks and the whole area will turn wonderfully green. Sadly for Zik, no dogs allowed in.

There is a beautiful picturesque place in the north of Israel - this is the neighborhood of Safed at an altitude of about 900 m. above sea level. The densest and most beautiful forest in Israel is located here. And this, though small, is a real coniferous forest. They even collect mushrooms in it! Our video, shot specifically for the site , will show you this beautiful place from a bird's-eye view. You will get an accurate and reliable idea of the most beautiful forest in Israel! Of particular note is the magnificent restaurant on the top of one of the hills - Bat Yar.
The Upper Galilee Forest is the best place to relax in Israel. It's cool here, the trees give a lot of shade, it's sparsely populated. There are equipped picnic areas in special places.

Along the border of Israel with Lebanon stretches a chain of mountains or hills equipped for viewing the surroundings. One of these mountains is Adir in the Upper Galilee. As the author of the travel cookbook Israel Eats, Steven Rothfeld from Napa Valley in California knows Israeli food intimately.

The photographer, who has illustrated more than a dozen books, spent several months traveling in Israel exploring the vibrant food scene, guided by locals to one great restaurant after another, and also to the growers and producers of the food.

On a recent visit to Israel, ISRAEL21c invited him for a day in the Galilee. Rothfeld took us to some of his favorite places including Salsila, an organic farm; Goats with the Wind, a unique goat farm nestled in the Galilee Hills; and Gaby Sadan’s beautiful Shvo Vineyard, where the wines are starting to attract serious international attention.
