🇨🇿 #32 Zamki Czech - LEDNICE, Valtice, Vranov, Cornštejn, Bitov

Löbauer Berg (w języku górnołużyckim: Lubijska Hora ) to wygasły wulkan o wysokości 447,9 m n.p.m. Wysokość wieży, 28 metrów a średnica 4 metry.

Ostatniego dnia II wojny światowej - 7 maja 1945 r. - wiadukt padł ofiarą wycofujących się oddziałów Wehrmachtu. W listopadzie 1945 roku pociągi mogły ponownie przejeżdżać przez tymczasowo naprawiony wiadukt.
5:10 Kamień milowy Polsko-Saksońskiej Poczty w Löbau
W okresie panowania dynastii Wettynów w Polsce dużą wagę przywiązywano do funkcjonowania komunikacji pomiędzy Warszawą a Dreznem. Dla usprawnienia przesyłania, z rozkazu króla Polski i elektora saskiego, Augusta II Mocnego (Fryderyka Augusta I), powołano pocztę polsko-saską. Z tego czasu pochodzi ten słup milowy z polskim Orłem i litewską Pogonią w Löbau.
5:31 Kościół św. Mikołaja (Nikolaikirche) z XIII wieku
Kościół parafialny św. Mikołaja jest jednym z najstarszych kościołów w Löbau. Pierwsza dokumentalna wzmianka pochodzi z 20 grudnia 1293 r. Była to wówczas prawdopodobnie romańska budowla halowa z cofniętym chórem. Pod koniec XIII wieku wybudowano wczesnogotycki prostokątny chór i przedłużono kryptę.

Břevnov Monastery is a Benedictine archabbey in the Břevnov district of Prague, Czech Republic. It was founded by Saint Adalbert, the second Bishop of Prague, in 993 AD with the support of Bohemian Duke Boleslaus II. The first Benedictine male monastery in Bohemia also has the oldest tradition of beer brewing in the Czech Republic. Brewing was interrupted several times in history, but today, the Břevnov Monastery Brewery brews its beer here.

History
The monastery was founded in 993 by Adalbert of Prague. Adalbert of Prague left Bohemia in 994 for having disputes with a ruler. The new impulse came with the Czech Duke Bretislav I, who started the stone church construction and managed the monastery remains of Gunther of Bohemia, the monk from Niederaltaich Abbey in Bavaria. Filial monasteries were established at Broumov and Police in northern Bohemia.

During the Hussite Wars in the 1420s, the abbot and convent fled to Broumov, and the entire monastery, including a brewery, was nearly destroyed. After the Thirty Years' War, a Baroque monastery complex was constructed under Abbot Othmar Daniel Zinke in 1708–1740 according to plans designed by Christoph Dientzenhofer. The interior of the buildings, including St Margaret's church, the conventual buildings, and the prelate's house, was designed by his son Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer, with altarpieces by Petr Brandl, a ceiling fresco by Cosmas Damian Asam and stucco works by his brother Egid Quirin Asam. At the same time, the annual beer production reached up to 5,000 hl.

After the German occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1938, the monastery was seized by Wehrmacht forces during World War II and finally confiscated by the Communist Czechoslovak government in 1950. Abbot Anastáz Opasek (1913–1999) was condemned for high treason and espionage in a show trial, the monastery was dissolved, and the remaining monks were deported if they had not fled to Bavarian Braunau in Rohr Abbey re-established by their Broumov brothers in 1946.

The complex was used until 1990 by the StB, after the Velvet Revolution, and was thoroughly repaired from 1991 until its 1000-years-jubilee in 1993. In 1997, it was visited by Pope John Paul II and was elevated to the rank of an Archabbey.

The monastery was the basis for the Red Rose Mansion (2005) in Naoki Urasawa's noted anime/manga series Monster.

The brewery at Břevnov Monastery re-opened after a brewing hiatus of about 120 years in 2011. Břevnov Monastery Brewery (Břevnovský klášterní pivovar) brews its beer under the brand Břevnovský Benedict.

The outstanding street art artist hails from the Urals in Kazakhstan and lived in the Czech Republic since childhood. Gradually he moved from graffiti to frescoes, that is, large-scale paintings on walls. ChemiS's work often comments on overlooked human rights, social, environmental and political issues. Among the big achievements was an invitation to become the first Czech to paint his work on the main wall of the Hall of Fame in New York, where graffiti culture began. ChemiS attracted the attention of the Czech public with a mural depicting a crying President Masaryk, a portrait of Vaclav Havel or a Ukrainian girl under the Ukrainian flag.

A Week in Prague, Czech Republic! - Prague Travel Vlog | MARRIED LESBIAN TRAVEL COUPLE

We have another Europe vlog for you, and this time it is a week in Prague!

This was our first time in Czech Republic and our first visit to Prague. It definitely surprised us with how busy and crowded it was (even during shoulder season), but we had a really fun week. We explored the Old Town, walked across the Charles Bridge, checked out some local vegan cafes, and even spent an afternoon at the beer spa. All in all, it was a good time!

Here are our top tips for things to do in Prague:
Head to the Old Town Square to see the famous Astronomical Clock + the Church of Our Lady before Týn
Check out all of the incredible Gothic architecture
Go for vegan brunch at Share Sweet + Espresso Bar (amazing food!)
Walk across Charles Bridge for amazing views of both sides of the city
Visit Prague Castle + St. Vitus Cathedral
Have lunch at Vegan’s Prague (plant-based versions of traditional Czech dishes!)
Have a date night at a beer spa

Prague is definitely a popular spot for big groups of friends travelling together, and there’s lots of drinking and partying, so it can be a pretty rowdy place. But all that being said. it was still absolutely possible to have a fun and romantic couples trip. We would definitely visit again and we would especially love to go back around the holidays!

We hope you enjoy watching! Make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss all our Europe vlogs!
