Sexaginta Prista (Ruse): Roman Heritage on the Danube Trail of Bulgaria - VR 360 8k
Dive into the ancient Roman history and explore the remains of Sexaginta Prista - the ancient predecessor of modern Ruse in Bulgaria. Sexaginta Prista was already established as a military base on the Danube frontier in the 1st century. Excavations have shown that the site was part of a pre-Roman religious sanctuary for the cult of the Thracian Horseman where the indigenous Thracian population left behind scores of votive pits with sacrificial offerings.
