First on the list is the iconic South Bank Parklands, located on the southern bank of the Brisbane River. This is a great place to relax, take a dip in the man-made Streets Beach, and enjoy some delicious food at one of the many restaurants and cafes.
Next up, head over to the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha for a peaceful stroll through its beautiful gardens and a panoramic view of the city. You can also visit the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium and learn about the stars and planets.

1. CITY PARKS: I can't believe how picturesque these parks are and they are completely free!📍Brisbane City Botanic Gardens 📍Roma Street Parklands📍Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens
2. FERRIES: Ride the free ferries along Brisbane River that flows right through the city!
3. MUSEUM OF BRISBANE (MOB): Loved the free exhibits here and you can take a free tour of Brisbane’s iconic clocktower (Tip: Make a reservation online so you don’t miss out!).
4. BRISBANE CITY MARKETS: Enjoy some food at this foodie and farmers market every Wednesday & Thursday.
5. GALLERY OF MODERN ART (GOMA): There are a number of free awesome exhibits to see here.
6. WILSON'S OUTLOOK RESERVE: For unobstructed views of the iconic Story bridge (I think it would look even better at night!)
7. EAT PASTRIES: There are plenty of pastry shops in Brisbane but I loved The Whisk so much I visited it more than once!
