Bad Kreuznach is a town in the Bad Kreuznach district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It does not lie within any Verbandsgemeinde, even though it is the seat of the like-named Verbandsgemeinde. Bad Kreuznach is a spa town and the seat of several courts as well as federal and state authorities. Bad Kreuznach is also officially a große kreisangehörige Stadt (large town belonging to a district), meaning that it does not have the district-level powers that kreisfreie Städte (district-free towns/cities) enjoy. It is, nonetheless, the district seat, and also the seat of the state chamber of commerce for Rhineland-Palatinate. It is classed as a middle centre with some functions of an upper centre, making it the administrative, cultural and economic hub of a region with more than 150,000 inhabitants. Moreover, the town and the surrounding areas are renowned both nationally and internationally for their wines, especially from the Riesling, Silvaner and Müller-Thurgau grape varieties.

Schopp is a municipality in the district of Kaiserslautern, in Rhineland-Palatinate, western Germany. Schopp station lies on the Biebermühl Railway.
he place was first mentioned in documents in 1345. In the Middle Ages Schopp, together with Waldfischbach, Geiselberg, Schmalenberg and Heltersberg, was under the cloister Hornbach. With the secularization of the monastery in 1557, the places came to the Electorate of Palatinate.
From 1798 to 1814, when the Palatinate was part of the French Republic (until 1804) and then part of the Napoleonic Empire, Schopp was incorporated into the canton Waldfischbach in the department of Donnersberg and was under the Mairie Waldfischbach. In 1815, the place was first added to Austria. A year later, the community moved to the Kingdom of Bavaria and was there part of the Rhine Circle. From 1818 to 1862 the town was part of the Landkommissariat Pirmasens, which was subsequently converted into a district office.
1939 Schopp was incorporated into the district of Pirmasens. After the Second World War, the community within the French occupation zone became part of the then newly formed state Rhineland-Palatinate. In the course of the first Rhineland-Palatinate administrative reform Schopp moved in 1969 in the district of Kaiserslautern. Three years later, the town was incorporated into the newly created collective municipality Kaiserslautern-Süd, which was merged into Landstuhl in July 2019.
Queidersbach is a municipality in the district of Kaiserslautern, in Rhineland-Palatinate, western Germany.
The municipality is located 10 km southwest of Kaiserslautern in a natural meadow valley on the western edge of the Palatinate Forest, which merges in this area into the Sickingen Heights. Almost two-thirds of the 1500 hectare district is covered with forest. Queidersbach includes the areas Forsthaus Stempelberg, Schweinstal and Zuckerhof.
Through Queidersbach flows the eponymous creek, which is popularly referred to as Steinalb. The neighbouring communities are Bann, Kaiserslautern, Krickenbach, Linden, Weselberg and Obernheim-Kirchenarnbach.
Landstuhl, officially the Sickingen Town of Landstuhl (German: Sickingenstadt Landstuhl), is a town in the district of Kaiserslautern, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is the seat of the Municipal Association of Landstuhl. Situated on the north-west edge of the Palatinate Forest, 11 miles (18 km) west of the city of Kaiserslautern, the town is located near Ramstein Air Base.
The earliest traces of human settlement in Landstuhl date from around 500 BC. The heathen rock (Heidenfels) from the Celtic period was a holy site until Roman times, and a Roman settlement dates from the 1st century. About 1152, Emperor Frederick I had Nanstein Castle built on the mountain south of town.

Bad Kreuznach is a town in the Bad Kreuznach district in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is a spa town, most well known for its medieval bridge dating from around 1300, the Alte Nahebrücke, which is one of the few remaining bridges in the world with buildings on it.

Staying in the Kaiserslautern area at the edge of the Palatinate Forest afforded us so many places nearby to visit. However the best place was our AirBnb and the Barbarossahof next door. Sean excellently chose this place and I am eternally grateful.

It is 459 kilometres (285 miles) from Paris, 117 km (73 miles) from Frankfurt am Main, 666 kilometers (414 miles) from Berlin, and 159 km (99 miles) from Luxembourg.

Kaiserslautern received its name from the favourite hunting retreat of Holy Roman Emperor Frederick Barbarossa who ruled the Holy Roman Empire from 1155 until 1190. The small river Lauter made the old section of Kaiserslautern an island in medieval times. Ruins of Frederick's original castle, built 1152–1160, can still be seen in front of the Rathaus (city hall). A second castle, Nanstein Castle, was built at Landstuhl to guard the western approach to the city. Barbarossa's influence on Kaiserslautern remains today, both in its nickname as a Barbarossa city and the open-mouthed pike on the city's coat of arms, reportedly his favorite dish.
The Stiftkirche, Kaiserslautern's oldest church, was constructed in 1250–1350. As the population of Kaiserslautern grew, King Rudolf von Habsburg chartered the town an imperial city in 1276. St. Martin's Kirche (church) was built from 1300–1350 for an order of monks. Today a section of the original city wall still stands in the courtyard of the church.
By 1375, the city of Kaiserslautern was pledged to Electoral Palatinate and therefore became subsequently part of the Wittelsbach inheritance.

How expensive is the Internet in Europe, I would say is not too bad as you think. So I got my Germany Sim Card for 20 Euros with 30 GB valid for 30 Days.
Afternoon we go shop at Ramstein Main Exchange and evening eat at Ramstein Airbase Community Center. Best Food so far in Germany.

Wandern in der Pfalz - Auf den Pfaden der Kelten auf dem Donnersberg(2020, 4k)
Die Wanderung startet am Parkplatz der Zufahrtsstraße zum Donnersberg und geht auf dem Internationalen Wanderweg hoch auf den Keltenweg und vorbei an der Viereckschanze zum Ludwigsturm auf die Aussichtsplattform mit dem herrlichen Rundumaussicht über die Pfalz. Von dort dann vorbei am alten Fernsehturm zum Keltenhaus und weiter zum Kaiserstuhl mit dem höchsten Punkt der Pfalz(687 m) und Ausblick in den Norden. Dann weiter auf der alten Stadtmauer der Keltenstadt auf dem Donnersberg zum Nachbau eines Mauerstückes. Danach weiter auf dem Keltenweg(Rundweg von ca. 5 km) durch den Wald zum Bärenloch mit der Startrampe der Gleitschirm- und Drachenflieger und wieder zum Startpunkt am Parkplatz. Entfernung ca. 8 km, Dauer ca. 3 Std und +/- 230 Höhenmeter. GPS-Daten:
