On Avenida de A Mariña you will find one of the largest glassworks in the world and one of the most emblematic images of the city. he architect Juan de Ciórraga designed in the second half of the nineteenth century the model of porch that imitates a covered walk on the shores of the sea, which then reached the rear of the buildings. The walls of the doors still retain the metal hoops of ships. These portals used to have the width of an oar, optimal size to shelter the boats on the days of the storm.
Old fishing houses, the galleries formed a thermal chamber that protected the rain facade and made it possible to visually relate the interior to the exterior, make it possible to ventilate, capture the heat in winter and refresh the rooms in summer.
The whole Avenida de la Marina was built in two phases when the old walls were demolished. The first in 1870 and 1876 and the second in 1879 and 1884. The main façade overlooks the Plaza de María Pita and Riego de Agua, Over time this set of back galleries, banned on the first floor by the municipal ordinance of 1854 , has become the symbolic image of the capital. Some have more than 25 meters of continuous gallery, others are decorated with polychrome glass. Among its illustrious residents may be mentioned the Countess of Fenosa.
This glazed set of galleries provides the visitor with a mirror that reflects the reflections of daylight from dawn until the fall of the afternoon, which has given A Coruña the name of Ciudad de Cristal.

Places to see in ( Galicia - Spain ) As Catedrais Beach
As Catedrais beach translates as 'Beach of the Cathedrals'. It is the turistic name of Praia de Augas Santas. The Spanish beach is located in the Ribadeo municipality, in the province of Lugo (Galicia), on the Cantabric coast, and it lies about ten kilometres to the west from the town of Ribadeo. Its name is derived from the formations of its cliffs.
As Catedrais Beach has been declared a Natural Monument by the regional Ministry for the Environment of the Xunta de Galicia. The place's more characteristic features are its natural arches and caves, which can be seen only in low tide. During high tide, the beach appears quite small, but is still suitable to go for a swim.
High tide is an interesting time to visit the place and wander over the top of the cliffs, from West to East, heading to the Esteiro Beach. During low tide you can appreciate the size of its magnificent cliffs and the picturesque sea caves, which go from small cracks on the rock to big caves whose roofs collapse due to the erosion of the waves.
Also during low tide you can gain access to a sand deposit delimited by a rocky wall made from slate and schist of strange and complex forms: more than 30-meters-tall arches which remind to cathedral flying buttresses, dozen-meters-long caves, sand corridors between rocky blocks and many other curiosities. When low tide is lower than usual, you can access the nearby beaches through the sand extension. However, it is advisable to be back before the water starts to cover the As Catedrais beach again, which happens very quickly, since the coast stretch is almost horizontal.

Ribadeo - Primera parte - En la provincia de Lugo, Galicia es uno de los pueblos más visitados en España durante el verano por su cercanía con la famosa Playa de las Catedrales; a tan solo 10 minuto en coche desde el centro del pueblo. Ribadeo es el pueblo perfecto para explorar por sus casas de indianos, su arquitectura, su gastronomía, sus faros y playas. Nos hospedamos 2 noches en una casa de indiano ahora AirB&B, estuvo muy céntrica para caminar hasta el centro de Ribadeo para desayuna y comer. En esta primera parte paseamos por el pueblo y exploramos un poco antes de visitar La Playa de las Catedrales que verán en el próximo video.

Ribadeo 🌺Lugo - Galicia #viajaresvivir
Ribadeo es un municipio español situado en el extremo nororiental de Galicia, en la provincia de Lugo, en el límite con el Principado de Asturias. Pertenece a la Comarca de La Mariña Oriental, de la cual es la capital. El pueblo de Ribadeo se formó a partir de un núcleo primitivo en las dársenas de Porcillán y Cabanela, en la orilla del río, para posteriormente ir creciendo hacia arriba. Tuvo una muralla, de carácter más fiscal que defensivo, de la que aún se conservan algunos restos. Junto a Vivero y Mondoñedo, fue uno de los tres fenómenos urbanos medievales de la antigua provincia de Mondoñedo que recibieron de manos del rey Fernando III de Castilla la Carta Puebla fundacional que le atribuía, entre otros privilegios, el de convocar un mercado semanal, el cual aún se sigue realizando. Por distintas sucesiones el condado de Ribadeo recaló definitivamente en la Casa de Alba. Coincidió su apogeo como Villa con el de su puerto, siendo cabeza del comercio del Cantábrico con los países bálticos, a través del puerto de Riga en concreto, de donde se importaba aguardiente en exclusividad, y que por tal motivo terminó siendo conocido como kúmel de Ribadeo, hasta su decadencia por la competencia de otros puertos como el de Gijón a mediados del siglo XIX. Ribadeo fue un importante centro de veraneo durante el siglo XIX debido a su esplendor económico de entonces. Su centro antiguo fue declarado Bien de Interés Cultural en 2004, debido a su rico patrimonio cultural y a la importancia de sus construcciones indianas del siglo XX. Existen partes muy diferentes entre sí. Por un lado, está el paseo marítimo y por otro, el Casco Histórico. Por último nos encontramos con el Ribadeo Indiano. En las calles de San Roque y en la Calle Rodríguez Murias se sitúan la mayoría de las casas indianas de Ribadeo. Estas fueron construidas por gallegos emigrantes que habían retornado de América y aún seguían influenciados arquitectónicamente por ciudades americanas como Buenos Aires o La Habana. La Plaza de España, alberga algunas de las construcciones más representativas de la villa, como lo son el Convento de Santa Clara, la Iglesia de Santa María del Campo, el Palacio del Marqués de Sargadelos, actual Casa Consistorial, y la Torre de los Moreno, un elemento típico de la arquitectura indiana, que es considerado el emblema de Ribadeo - Visita en 2018 -
