10 Best place to visit in Rayne United States

x

Rayne, LA Frog Capital of the World

Rayne, AL - Frogs and Rayne have a relatively long history that dates back to the 1880s, when a gourmet chef named Donat Pucheu started selling juicy, delectable bullfrogs to New Orleans restaurants. Word of Rayne's frog delicacies spread like wildfire, and soon attracted the Weill Brothers from France, who started a lucrative business exporting frogs to restaurants. For years, world-renowned restaurants like Sardi's in New York boasted of offering frog legs from Rayne, Louisiana. Rayne no longer exports frogs, but their frog identity is bigger than ever because of a unique array of frog murals.

4.521 acres of prime real estate just North of the Rayne I-10 exit on LA Hwy 35. ZONED COMMERCIAL. This property is feet away from the new Interstate service road entrance on LA Hwy 35 . Perfect for hotel car dealership high end restaurant or any business requiring high visibility. The largest development in the city of Rayne’s 134 year history is in full swing and next to this fantastic prime location. Property is perfectly proportioned at 300’ wide and aprox. 656’ deep. This property already has 2 state approved entrances to the property. Each is ideally located at the 2 ends of the state highway frontage. The frontage can be easily located because it is between the 2 real estate signs. This area off I-10 has the potential of being like the area at the Scott LA I-10 commercial complex. Priced right. Outdoor Adventure in Lafayette, Louisiana

Lafayette, LA’s an area known for its swampland dotted with moss-draped cypress trees teeming with wildlife, which makes it the perfect destination for bird watching, paddling, fishing and numerous other outdoor activities.

Lafayette also happens to be situated on the Mississippi Flyway and the Atchafalaya Loop of America’s Wetland Birding Trail. Nature watchers and photographers have access to some of the best birding sites in North America, including Spanish Lake. At last count, birders have spotted 240 species in its expansive shoreline and bottomland hardwood forest.

If paddling is your passion Lafayette is the perfect starting point to explore their rivers, swamps and bayous. The newest addition to Lafayette’s paddle trail is the creation of a three day, three-night paddle trip that takes you through two parishes and multiple cities along the way where both primitive camping and lodging is available.

There’s no other place where you can experience multiple types of fresh and saltwater fishing all within a short drive of Lafayette. Cast your line from the shore of some of the most peaceful fishing spots along the banks of Lake Martin or the Atchafalaya Basin. Paddle or launch your boat near the Gulf of Mexico to discover the abundant species of fish, crabs and shrimp that can all be caught and cooked in a day.

Whether your passion is for their rich cultural history, the bustling culinary scene or distinctive blend of Cajun and Zydeco music, you can be sure you will leave beaming from ear to ear.
