Lake Macquarie - Early Morning Visit to the Southern Hemisphere's Largest Coastal Saltwater Lake
Lake Macquarie is located between the Central Coast and Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia. It is a stunning place to visit - particularly in the early morning.
Most of this was filmed at Rathmines which is on the west side of the lake towards the north end. We also filmed at Wangi Wangi which is just south of Rathmines.

Above the parklands and boat ramp grounds of the lake town of Rathmines, situated in the City of Lake Macquarie.
Rathmines was once home to the Rathmines Park Catalina Sea Plane Base, the major RAAF seaplane base from 1939 to 1952, along the western shores of Lake Macquarie.
