I spent a month in Bucharest in August 2015.
Here's a short video of my trip to Bucharest, one of the most beautiful cities in Romania!
Many people overlook Bucharest as a tourist destination in Europe but it's quickly modernizing and there are areas in the city that are changing overnight. There is a lot of renovation underway, new construction and the city itself is surprisingly beautiful and interesting.
Bucharest is the capital city and biggest city in Romania. It's a great city to spend a few days in and from Bucharest you can easily make connections to Transylvania and the Carpathian mountains as well as Hungary, Bulgaria and the rest of the Balkans.
If you're looking somewhere to stay I definitely recommend using AirBnb and for getting around Bucharest I recommend using Uber.

We've spend 72 hours in Bucharest. It's such a big city, so we'll give you some tips and advices in this video. We were here in the summer of 2018.
Our recommendations:
When you arrive at the airport, go to the Therme Bucuresti. It's amazing. A taxi from the airport is only €3,-. So please don't let them rip you.
Our apartment was: Edgar's Studio

The walk starts at the Palace of the Deposits and Consignments and enters the busy old town that has many restaurants and other places for nightlife. We pass the beautiful small Stavropoleos Monastery Church and Biserica Sfântul Anton Church and end the walk at the great Buchrest Fountains.
