Perito Moreno Glacier Santa Cruz Argentina
The Perito Moreno Glacier is a large glacier located in Los Glaciares National Park in the Santa Cruz Province of Argentina. It is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Patagonia and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The glacier spans over 250 square kilometers and is one of the few glaciers in the world that is still advancing. It is approximately 30 kilometers long, and its front face rises up to 60 meters above the surface of Lake Argentino.
The glacier is known for its incredible beauty and unique features, such as its constantly changing ice formations and the sounds it makes as it moves and cracks. It is also known for the spectacular ice falls that occur when large sections of the glacier break off and crash into the lake below.
Visitors to the Perito Moreno Glacier can take guided tours or hike along the trails to get a closer look at the glacier and its surroundings. Boat tours are also available for those who want to see the glacier from the water.

Three most remote world heritage sites of Argentina was covered and many more national parks and other places of interest.
Patagonia, the land of wonders, is a very big region taking up most of Southern Argentina. The region features a glacier-dotted mountainous interior, unique coastal wildlife and amazing Andean national parks. The mountains and lakes in Patagonia are also some of the most beautiful of all found in the world.
El Calafate is the center and gateway to exploring the amazing wonders of nature in Southern Patagonia. The Perito Moreno Glacier is a true highlight of this destination and the Upsala Glacier, among others in Glacier National Park, is quite memorable. Don't forget to also visit the hiking haven of El Chalten, and travel to the Torres del Paine National Park in nearby Chile.

RIO GALLEGOS ARGENTINA | RUMO A USHUAIA | PATAGÔNIA ARGENTINA 4K | EP 34

We Drove from Buenos Aires to Patagonia in a Week
The roadtrip of a lifetime! Driving for 8000km, visiting the most beautiful places of Argentina, a dream coming true.
In this part 1 of the serie, we visit the East Coast of Argentina. We drove down Ruta 3 all the way to Río Gallegos, visiting Puerto Madryn and Peninsula Valdes. And on this first route we experienced amazing things, from swimming with sealions to watching whales from the road. Such a crazy experience!
Of course, the biggest highlights are yet to come. The true Patagonia is still a bit further, but driving towards it was already a blast!

Ride Day 77: Ushuaia to Rio Gallegos, Argentina
Full Post: So finally I head back the 2000 miles to Buenos Aires through Rio Gallegos, Argentina for the night. I had a fantastic time in Ushuaia and spent a few days exploring the Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego.
The border crossing was only a hundred miles away, so I was hoping there would be no lines and I could get on my way into Chile without too much fuss.
I would then need to take a ferry and then cross another border back into Argentina for the last time.
Although the trip total was 370 miles (595 kilometers), it is partly paved with the majority of off-roading near the borders. I started Ruta 3, then onto Ruta 257 and then back onto Ruta 3, and the whole trip took me just over 9 hours, which is pretty good considering I crossed two borders.
