Kiryat Shmona with Route 90 to Metula

Qiryat Shemona to Metula
Filmed for this movie May 10, 2020 as part of my great trip around Israel
His sequel is headed to Rosh Hanikra
And there are many more movies coming on this trip
Rosh Hanikra to Eilat for the first time in one photograph, with once again for the first time every road from north to south
Also, various sites on the road and in Eilat Road 12 are photographed from different angles
Highway 90 humming in some sections from the Schizpon Junction to the Ketura Junction for example
Will be released later after at least one million channel views are now close to 700000
And enough numbers of subscribers to justify these big movie publications
Eilat to Metula Further to my first movie Metula to Eilat that has already been published

Sites along the Dead Sea Naot Square and more
Enjoyable viewing don't forget to sign up

ISRAEL - Nahal Snir Nature Reserve. שמורת נחל שניר

Nahal Snir, located in the upper galilee it is one of the three main sources (the Dan, the Banyas and the Snir) that make up the Jordan river. The stream starts it's journey in neighboring Lebanon where it is known as The Hasbani, only a small part of the stream flows into Israel. The hike we did took about 2 hours, we walked over rocky paths, climbed a hill to a lookout point and finally did some wading in the icy cold waters of the stream. Our visit in November was just before the winter rains, another few weeks and the whole area will turn wonderfully green. Sadly for Zik, no dogs allowed in.

Tube trip (2) - Kiryat Shmona, Israel

Qiryat Shemona and Haifa cable car

On a warm summer day, we take a road trip. Rabbi Sprecher, Yoseph Mayo, Hanoch, and Yehuda take an all-day trip on the roads of Israel to fulfill the mitzvah of walking the roads of Israel. Driving works too. We try to get to the cable car in Qiryat Shemona but it has been down three months so settle for the short ride in Haifa. It is usually packed, but today on 080519 we make it without a wait.

ISRAEL - Meshushim Pool Nature Reserve - בריכת המשושים

The Meshushim Pool (Hexagon Pool) nature reserve is located about 7 km north of Lake Kinneret. The natural pool at the bottom of the Canyon is surrounded with hexagonal Basalt rock columns. From the parking area to the bottom takes around 30 minutes hiking downhill with fantastic views. The pool is deep and its water is a very refreshing 18°C (even in summer.) The steep uphill climb back up can be challenging, in the hot Israeli summer months carry plenty of drinking water. The trek is very satisfying and dipping in the pool is worth every step taken.

Katzrin Park - Ancient Talmudic Village - Golan Heights - with Villa Rimona Zimmers

If you love archeology but have a hard time imagining what it would be like to live in a home in Israel 2000 years ago, then join us for a 45 minute drive from Villa Rimona in Yavne'el to Qatsrin in the Golan Heights.

In addition to a wonderful archeological site, some of the ancient homes have been reconstructed and you can walk through the houses at your leisure.

During tourist season there are guides to demonstrate and and explain what life was like. We preferred coming here in the winter when the weather is cool and we had the place to ourselves.

Watch a great film explaining what life was like for the sages of the period of the Mishna who lived here.

Call us today or send an email to find out more about your next vacation at Villa Rimona Zimmers in the Galilee

Many travelers venture to Israel just to enjoy the beautiful and magical Eilat beaches. Visitors are quickly drawn to the 10 km long shoreline surrounding the Red Sea. The water is clean, clear and always refreshing. Because temperatures outside never usually drop below 68 degrees (20 Celsius) and it only rains about 12 days a year, Eilat is a perfect resort town.

The main beach is the north beach, and many of the major hotels are situated here. The south beach area (Coral Beach) is protected by the Israel Nature Reserve authority, but recent years have seen a decline in the marine life and reef quality. Fortunately, since the removal of the controversial fish cages from the Gulf water in 2008, a steady recovery of corals has been seen at all dive sites. While many divers head south to the Egyptian Sinai coast to Dahab or Sharm el-Sheikh, to experience better diving conditions, many divers still prefer Eilat, with far smaller crowds, interesting macro life and easy, unpressured surface entries.

Coral Beach - is the best place for scuba diving and located here are some of the best dive clubs in Israel offering technical diving courses, rebreather, nitrox, tri-mix etc.. The whole coastal area is protected by the nature reserve authority and divers are expected to follow regulations. The south beach is a great place for snorkeling, windsurfing and kite-surfing plus it has fantastic views over the bay. Entrance fee for the coral reef part is 35/30 NIS adult/students (Nov 13).
Underwater Observatory. - One of Eilat's most popular attractions is a good way to view the Red Sea marine life without getting wet. Its white tower (Eilat's most famous landmark) offers great views above water and goes below the surface where the marine life is seen in two underground rooms. In the marine parks aquariums are sharks, sting rays and turtles, plus lots of multi colored Red Sea fish. The huge glass windows allow visitors to get a great view the tanks occupants. The Oceanarium (extra NIS 10) simulator is a bit dated (lower resolution, no 3D) may be a lot of fun for kids - a little scary for the smaller ones though - but rather not for adults. There are different shows at different times like shark feeding or opening oysters for pearls. Ticket is valid for 3 days but you must ask for the free return photo at the photo booth. The dolphin release project is since on hold. Various paid options are available for interacting with the dolphins, starting with snorkeling with the dolphins at NIS 227. It's a very nice beach with lots of small pools and rich shrubbery. It has a fantastic spa (relaxation pools) and is well worth a visit. For those who want to get up-close to a dolphin book your swim or dive as early in the morning as you can. The dolphins get weary of as the day goes on. Piers leading out onto the water allow everyone to get as near to the dolphins - as the dolphins want. - Wikitravel.

GOLAN TRAIL MORE THEN 60 KM BY FOOT

Tel Hai pioneers & heroes

Join David Hyman, Israeli professional tour guide on a video tour of Tel-Hai located at Israel's Galilee region. The battle of Tel Hai took place on March 1st 1920 when a group of Jewish pioneers who settled the farm of Tel Hai were attacked by a tribe of local Arab bedouins. The bedouins attacked the small farm, in search of weapons and French soldiers. The defenders of Tel Hai allowed them in for the search, but then an argument flared up and escalated in to shooting. 5 arab attackers were shot and 6 Jewish defenders were killed. One of the Jewish men was the leader of the group named Joseph Trumpeldor. Joseph was the oldest man in the group, 40 years old and was a veteran of the Russian army. Joseph was a living legend even before the battle, due to his rolls as an officer and a leader, including earning medals and awards. Joseph lost one arm during the Japan-Russian war and was loved and admired by everyone. When Joseph was dying from his injuries, his final words became iconic. He said: It is good to die for our country.
These words and the death of the 8 defenders of Tel Hai were a terrible shock for the small Jewish community of Israel. The heroes were commemorated by erecting the Lion monument at the Tel Hai cemetary and with the building of the town adjacent to the site and naming it Kiryat Shemona ( The town of the eight)
In the aftermath of the battle, the Jewish leaders decided that an armed force should be established for the defence of Jewish lives and property , and the Hagana was founded. 28 years later at May 1948, the Hagana defence organization became the IDF, Israel Defence Forces.

סיור עם מורה הדרך ומדריך הטיולים צחי שקד 0546905522
My name is Zahi Shaked
In 2000 I became a registered liscenced tourist guide.
My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land.

Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity.

In order to fulfill this calling in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and received my first bachelors degree in the ancient history of the Holy Land, and am presently completing my studies for my second degree.(Masters)

Parralel to my studies, and in order to earn a living, I was employed for many years in advertising. What I learned there was how to attract the publics attention, generate and, increase interest, and assimilate information. All this I use as tools to describe, explain and deepen the interest in the sites that we visit. From my experience, I have learned that in this way, the Holy Land becomes more than just history, and that the large stones that we see scattered about in dissaray, join together one by one until they become - a Byzantine Church. This also happens when I lead a group of Pilgrims in the Steps of Jesus. We climb to the peak of Mount Precipice, glide over the land to the Sea of Galilee, land on the water and see the miracle which enfolds before us. This is a many faceted experience. Not only history which you will remember and cherish, but an experience which I hope will be inplanted in your hearts and minds, and will accompany you all the days of your life.

Why ISRAEL 🇮🇱 Makes An Excellent Bike Touring Destinstion

helsonwheels.bio.link
Day 445. 43km (74007kms 6 yrs)

In such lovely surroundings and with minimal kilometres planned for the day I was in no hurry to get moving. Benches and running water; this was a 5star wild camp! Once on the move a large black snake slithering across the dirt road prompted me that I really must patch up the broken zip on my tent!

My first stop was at Beit Alpha where in 1949 a kibbutz uncovered a lovely zodiac emblazoned synagogue’s mosaic floor. I was surprised to learn zodiacs were a common feature in synagogues in this era. The official write-up is that it was purely decorative, but I’m unconvinced by this interpretation of the past. It seems to me that everything in holy buildings is symbolic.. nothing pagan sneaks in due to fashion.

A few more kilometres on towards the Jordanian river I arrived at Beit She’an, a remarkable Roman city destroyed by an earthquake in 749CE. Enough remains in place - and little models outside the ruined buildings - give a fantastic idea of how the city must’ve looked in its heyday. I took a stroll around, returned to the picnic area by the visitors’ centre for lunch, then strolled around again, it was wonderful and makes up rather for the ruins I missed in north Jordan.

Bike touring this part of israel is very rewarding in the short distances between marvellous sites, along with wineries it’s ticking a lot of boxes for me! On the a way out town I picked up a bottle of local red arriving at the Sea of Galilee to some sort of community event. The map had indicated a camping spot but I found only No Camping signs, so I settled in with my picnic as the sun set, pitching my tent after dark.
