Przemyśl is one city in Poland that all tourists should come and see first hand. It's by far one of the top 5 places to visit. Super underrated in my opinion. Three hours from Krakow and near the Ukrainian border, this city is the gateway to the south eastern part of Poland.
Join me as I take you on a walking tour of this historic city. In this first part of four, we will check out the train station, the Austrian-Hungarian influenced buildings, and old town. While we traverse old town, we will visit four different churches and check out several monuments on our way to the San River and my hotel.

Kazimierzowski Castle ❤️ in Przemyśl, Poland - a renaissance castle in Przemyśl, on the Castle Hill, located 270 m above sea level. Visiting amazing polish castles 4K
The first castle was erected on the hill after 1340, during the reign of Casimir the Great, on the site of a wooden and earth stronghold, where already at the beginning of the 11th century, King Bolesław the Brave built a brick Romanesque rotunda and palas (palace). The castle of Casimir the Great was built in the Gothic style. From this period, only the ogival entrance gate has survived to this day. The castle was damaged during the Wallachian invasion in 1498. It was rebuilt in the years 1514–1553 by Piotr Kmita Sobieński, strengthening its defenses by building a bastion. The castle had a quadrilateral plan with round towers at the corners, and a four-sided tower in the southern corner. There was a fortified bailey under the castle. In the years 1616–1633 staroste Marcin Krasicki commissioned Galeazzo Appiani to rebuild the castle by raising the northern and eastern towers, while the north-eastern range was transformed into a residential building with cloisters. In 1678 staroste Marcin Kątski placed an armory in the castle. In the second half of In the 17th century, attempts were made to strengthen the castle's defenses.

W końcu pojechałam pociągiem do tego miasta w Polsce aż na wschód. Przemyśl. Tak wiele osób mówiło mi, żebym tu pojechała. Jestem taka szczęśliwa, że w końcu posłuchałam. Całkowicie zakochałam się w tym miejscu. Jest oszałamiające i wyjątkowe. To był bardzo mroźny i śnieżny zimowy dzień. To sprawiło, że poczułam się jak w bajce. Mogłabym tu mieszkać przez jakiś czas... Muszę tu wkrótce wrócić!
Finally I took the train to this city in Poland all the way east. Przemyśl. So many people told me to go here. I am SO happy that I finally listened. I completely fell in love with this place. It's stunning and unique. It was a very cold and snowy winter day. Which made it feel like a little fairy-tale. I could live here for a little while... I have to come back soon!
