ONE DAY IN LUBLIN (POLAND) 🇵🇱 | 4K 60FPS | I love this beautiful Old Town
Lublin Old Town amazes with its authenticity, with its fascinating history, cobbled streets, beautiful corners, colorful townhouses with many details and a vibrant architecture. There are over 110 monuments on 1 square kilometre, and most of them have retained their original shape. Lublin is undoubtedly worth a visit.
The history of Lublin began in the Middle Ages, when the town was a trade settlement and a guard post on the eastern border of a young Polish state. The first written information about it dates back to the 12th century, and then in 1317 it was granted city rights.
For me, Lublin was a great destination as it allowed me to fully enjoy my love for historic old cities. And that's exactly what I focused on in my video.

Przemyśl is one city in Poland that all tourists should come and see first hand. It's by far one of the top 5 places to visit. Super underrated in my opinion. Three hours from Krakow and near the Ukrainian border, this city is the gateway to the south eastern part of Poland.
Join me as I take you on a walking tour of this historic city. In this first part of four, we will check out the train station, the Austrian-Hungarian influenced buildings, and old town. While we traverse old town, we will visit four different churches and check out several monuments on our way to the San River and my hotel.

W końcu pojechałam pociągiem do tego miasta w Polsce aż na wschód. Przemyśl. Tak wiele osób mówiło mi, żebym tu pojechała. Jestem taka szczęśliwa, że w końcu posłuchałam. Całkowicie zakochałam się w tym miejscu. Jest oszałamiające i wyjątkowe. To był bardzo mroźny i śnieżny zimowy dzień. To sprawiło, że poczułam się jak w bajce. Mogłabym tu mieszkać przez jakiś czas... Muszę tu wkrótce wrócić!
Finally I took the train to this city in Poland all the way east. Przemyśl. So many people told me to go here. I am SO happy that I finally listened. I completely fell in love with this place. It's stunning and unique. It was a very cold and snowy winter day. Which made it feel like a little fairy-tale. I could live here for a little while... I have to come back soon!

Przemyśl to miasto o ponad tysiącletniej tradycji - Pierwsza wzmianka o Przemyślu pojawiła się w tzw. Latopisie Nestora i informuje o zajęciu miasta przez księcia kijowskiego Włodzimierza w 981 r.
Od 1087 r., przez blisko 200 lat, Przemyśl stał się samodzielnym księstwem ruskim. W roku 1340 Kazimierz Wielki ponownie przyłączył ziemię przemyską do Polski i wybudował murowany zamek, który do dziś góruje nad miastem.
Od początku swoje istnienia Przemyśl pełnił rolę dużego centrum osadniczego, ważnego obiektu strategicznego, administracyjno-gospodarczego, handlowego i kulturalnego. W 1389 r. Przemyśl uzyskał prawa miejskie, by w XVI i XVII w. stać się jednym z najbogatszych miast w kraju – największym ośrodkiem miejskim pomiędzy Krakowem a Lwowem.
W Przemyślu istnieje najstarszy w Europie teatr amatorski, założone w 1869 r. Towarzystwo Dramatyczne im. Aleksandra Fredry, czyli popularne Fredreum.
Przemyśl to polska stolica fajek i ludwisarstwa. Przemyskie fajki znane są na całym świecie, a dzwony rozbrzmiewają na wszystkich kontynentach. Jedyne w Polsce Muzeum Dzwonów i Fajek znajduje się w Wieży Zegarowej Przemyślu.
Twierdza Przemyśl odegrała poważną rolę podczas I wojny światowej. Pozostałością tych wydarzeń są liczne w mieście cmentarze żołnierzy poległych w walkach. Twierdza dzisiaj, to 45-kilometrowe pasmo 15 głównych i kilkudziesięciu pomocniczych fortów wokół Przemyśla i kilkanaście mniejszych obiektów militarnych w granicach samego miasta.
W okresie od września 1939 do czerwca 1941 Przemyśl został podobnie jak cała Polska podzielony między dwóch okupantów i leżał jednocześnie w dwóch państwach. Prawobrzeżna część miasta (Stare Miasto) została włączona do ZSRR, a lewobrzeżną (Zasanie) zajęli Niemcy.
Choć miasto położone jest 800 km od morza, to przemyślanin żeglarz kapitan Henryk Jaskuła jako pierwszy Polak, na jachcie Dar Przemyśla, opłynął samotnie glob ziemski bez zawijania do portów. Rejs trwał 344 dni (od 12 czerwca 1979 do 20 maja 1980).
Jan Długosz podaje, że założycielem miasta był książę Przemysław i od jego imienia pochodzi nazwa miasta. Według legendy książę ruszył na polowanie i w miejscu, w którym upolował niedźwiedzicę założył osadę z niedźwiedzicą w herbie. Na obszarze dzisiejszego Przemyśla powstała osada i wielu ludzi zastanawiało się, jak ją nazwać – pewna starsza kobieta powiedziała: „Myśl, nie myśl, najlepszy będzie Przemyśl” – i tak też zostało.
Jednym z najwyższych punktów miasta jest Kopiec Tatarski, który wznosi się na wysokości 352 m n.p.m. Najstarsza legenda mówi o zniesieniu w I poł. XVI wieku zagonu tatarskiego, gdzie w czasie walk zginął chan. W miejscu śmierci chana wg wschodnich obyczajów usypywano kopiec – pomnik.
Przemyśl podobnie jak Rzym leży na siedmiu wzgórzach.
Przemyśl jest stolicą dwóch Arcybiskupstw rzymskokatolickiego i greckokatolickiego.
Lekarz Twierdzy Przemyśl, Węgier Robert Barany otrzymał nagrodę Nobla za rok 1914. Jego dokonania uznawane są za fundamentalne w dziedzinie otologii.
W filmie Andrzeja Wajdy Kronika wypadków miłosnych Przemyśl zagrał... Wilno.
Kornel Makuszyński, autor Awantury o Basię i Koziołka Matołka, miewał kłopoty z ukończeniem edukacji na poziomie średnim - relegowano go z kilku liceów. Trafił w końcu do przemyskiego liceum im. J. Słowackiego, skąd go również wyrzucono. Wszystko się jednak dobrze skończyło, a liceum umieściło jego nazwisko na liście swych wybitnych absolwentów.
Pierwowzorem sienkiewiczowskiego bohatera - Jerzego Michała Wołodyjowskiego był stolnik przemyski Jerzy Wołodyjowski (ok. 1620-1672).
Przemyśl wraz z Medyką i Żurawicą tworzą największy w Europie suchy port.
