Tvrdjava Ram - Visit Serbia (Тврђава Рам)

Tvrdjava Ram - Visit Serbia (Тврђава Рам)

The Ram Fortress is a 15th century fort situated on a steep slope on the right bank of the Danube, in the village of Ram, municipality of Veliko Gradište, eastern Serbia. The fortress is located on a rock, which is from the northeast side tilted towards the Danube. It is assumed that the city was built on the opposite side from Haram fortress, which was located across the Danube and left no remnants. The remains of the city are in good condition.

Yugoslav Spomeniks (Part 4-A): Serbia's Most Beautiful Towns & Villages

19-22. October 2022. Serbia (Србија) 🇷🇸 This video presents this first half of my 10-day Autumn round-trip drive from Vršac around the most beautiful parts of Serbia for 1,117 miles (1,978 km) looking for Yugoslav-era spomeniks (monuments). I found (26) of them. The spomeniks are mainly World War II memorial sculptures that were part of a grand project of Tito's to unify socialist Yugoslavia in the aftermath of the NOB. Estimates put the number of such spomeniks built at up to 40,000. These communist works of art are unique and beautiful and often abandoned.

The towns / areas I rolled through are (Part 4-A) Topola (Топола), Paraćin (Параћин), Kruševac (Крушевац) (Slobodište Memorial Complex), Retanj (Ртањ) in the Serbian Carpathians, Knjaževac (Књажевац), Štrbac (Штрбац), Pirot (Пирот), Stara Planina Villages of Donja Kamenica (Доња Каменица), Gostuša (Гостуша), & Rsovci (Рсовци), Niš (Ниш), Donja Lokošnica (Доња Локошница) AKA World's Red Pepper Capital, Prokuplje (Прокупље), Beloljin (Белољин), Kopaonik (Копаоник) (Mramor Monument), Novi Pazar (Нови Пазар), (Part 4-B) Novi Pazar (Нови Пазар), Sjenica, (Сјеница), Prijepolje (Пријепоље), Zlatibor (Златибор), Mokra Gora (Мокра Гора), Tara National Park (Brno Borova Memorial Site), Perućac (Перућац), Obrenovac (Обреновац), Vršac (Вршац), Banatski Karlovac (Банатски Карловац).

Ploče Viewpoint, Djerdap National Park Serbia

Ploče is the most impressive viewpoint in Djerdap National Park, with scenic views of the narrowest part of the Danube River and the Djerdap Gorge. One of the world's most enormous river depths (82 m) is on this part of the Danube.

If you wish to visit this viewpoint near a village called Tekija, you need to be ready for about an hour of walking uphill. But don't worry. A walk along a well-marked forest trail is an experience in itself. At the start of the path is a forest ranger who charges tickets 250 RSD (around 2€) per person.

The trail starts just a few hundred meters from the Danube band, where the Djerdap boat tour starts. That's why it is best to connect these two Djerdap attractions in a day trip.

Contact Serbia Transfers if you need a private transfer or a private tour from Belgrade to Djerdap National Park.

Riding alone in Southern Serbia [Ep. 6] 🇷🇸

ALL SERBIA VIDEOS:

A journey through Southern Serbia by motorbike. I started my trip from the city of Pirot and continued my way through the Suva Planina range (dry mountain) towards Prokuplje. The following day I started off my journey from Niš city, the third-largest city in Serbia, and made my way to Kruševac. I made a stop for lunch in an ethnic restaurant serving traditional Balkan cuisine:

Cerje Cave in #Serbia | Cerjanska Cave - 2.2 Kilometers Long & 350 Meters Deep Underground Adventure

Cerje or Cerjanska cave in Serbia is the second-longest cave in the country. Cerjanka is actually a cave system that includes more caves. We went 300 to 350 meters deep underground and 2.2 kilometers long for about 4 to 5 hours. You can do the shorter tour - it is up to you!
Cerje cave has a spectacular underground world made of corridors and large halls, on average 15 to 40 meters high.
There are hundreds of morphological and hydrological forms of different shapes, sizes, and colors. Some of the cave jewelry: stalactites, helictites, wavy draperies, cave corals, and crystal flowers CAN BE FOUND ONLY HERE IN SERBIA. Learn more about it and admire its beauty by watching this video.
