6 Fall Hikes to do This September

California has so many stunning hiking trails that it’s hard to pick a favorite. But here are six hikes for you to do this September! 😊

⛰️ Uvas Canyon

A hidden gem in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Uvas Canyon offers a serene escape with cascading waterfalls and lush scenery.

🥾 Hike Details: Upper, Basin, and Black Rock Falls Via Contour and Waterfall Loop

2.8-mile loop
728 feet of elevation gain
1.5 hours

⛰️ Henry Coe State Park

This vast wilderness area is perfect for those seeking solitude and stunning vistas.

🥾 Hike Details: Frog Lake Loop Trail

4.5-mile loop
698 feet of elevation gain
2 hours

⛰️ Coyote Hills

Coyote Hills is one of my favorite regional parks in the East Bay! It’s got views for days and lots of wildlife to watch out for.

🥾 Hike Details: Bayview, Red Hill, and Soaproot Trail Loop

3.8-mile loop
410 feet of elevation gain
1.5 hours

⛰️ Portola Redwoods State Park

Redwood trees and a small waterfall? What else could you ask for!

🥾 Hike Details: Tiptoe Falls Via Iverson Trail

1.2-mile out and back
295 feet of elevation gain
40 minutes

⛰️ Point Lobos

Point Lobos is one of the most beautiful spots in California. Ever. Period. And you can fight me on that if you must 😂

🥾 Hike Details: Point Lobos Loop

6.4-mile loop
679 feet of elevation gain
2.5 hours

⛰️ Mt Diablo

As the tallest peak in the East Bay, Mt Diablo offers panoramic views that stretch across the Bay Area.

Supposedly, you can see parts of Yosemite on a clear day. That’s insane!!!

🥾 Hike Details: Drive up to the Summit and take in the views! There is no crazy hike here.

This is a bit of a cheat, I know. But for our last trip to Mt. Diablo, we didn’t hike so much, however, we enjoyed the views from the summit and strolled through the visitors center.

Now it’s your turn! Which of these hikes will you tackle this September?

Have you hiked any of these before? Share your experiences, and let me know if there’s another trail you’d add to the list! 😊

Winter Snow In Portola California | Best Snow of North Lake Tahoe 2020 - 2021 | Happy New Year

Subscribe: AnGkhmerUS:
Where is the best place to enjoy snow for New Year 2021? To celebrate New Year this 2021, we drove about 4 hours from San Fransisco to Portola one of the best snow pace in North of Lake Tahoe. Portola is located in North of Lake Tahoe, California. In this video you will see the amazing views of snow covered the ground, trees and the mountains. We drove the Smith Peak, but the snow was so deep we didn't be able to make it all the way to the top. However, we got to drive through snow and get a good drove shot of snow and trees. Also we drove up to another peak called, Beckwuorth Peak to get the views of sunset. Again we didn't make it to the top, we made to half way, which is good enough for the good views.

You also can see the highlights for my next video at the end, don't forget to watch all the way end.

A Beautiful Evening Drive Around The Santa Cruz Mountains (10-8-2022)

Enjoying a nice evening drive thru the Santa Cruz Mountains. We were on the way back home. Me & my cousin had another adventure this day! For this day's outing, we went to Portola Redwoods State Park... Our day in summary: We hiked a bit, enjoying the majestic old redwoods there along with the scenic forests. Later, we stopped around the Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve to take in the beautiful mountainous scenery from up high as well as the epic sunset. We were so high that we were above the clouds! We later ended our day by eating dinner at Pho Wagon along Meridian Ave back in San Jose. 'Til next time! (Outing taken place Saturday, ‎October ‎8, ‎2022)

*A bit about Portola Redwoods State Park: Portola Redwoods SP is in a remote mountain forest that can be difficult to reach. The windy Portola State Park Road is the only road in and out of the park. The drive to Portola SP can be nerve-wracking as you’ll need to drive along twisty narrow mountain roads with steep drop-offs (Alpine Rd & then take Portola State Park Rd). The park is a 2,800-acre park in California situated in San Mateo County. The road leading to the park drops from a ridgetop into a deeply shaded redwood forest, offering a hushed getaway from the suburban bustle of nearby Silicon Valley and the South Bay. The visitor center feels like a wilderness lodge. 18 miles of trails follow meandering creeks, where moisture-loving coast redwoods stand tall among ferns & huckleberries. Waterfalls on Fall and Pescadero creeks tumble down mossy banks over rocks & woody debris. The park has a 55-site family campground, 4 group campsites & a trail camp for backpackers. It also protects some of the most remote & scenic redwoods in the region, the Peter’s Creek Grove. Certainly, this park is a hidden gem!

Portola, California

A peaceful walk, and drive, through a quiet mountain town. Enjoy the tour.

Redwood Trees - Visit the redwood giants at Memorial Park near Redwood City

Adventure through the redwood trees on Memorial Day at this grove of ancient redwood in Memorial Park. The mystery of the redwood awaits us. Redwood trees are the tallest living organism on the earth and survive for thousands of years.

Find peace at Memorial Park located in the San Francisco area between Redwood City and the Pacific Ocean. The redwood trees are coastal redwood and many are old growth meaning very old. The park has 673 acres and is known for its hiking and family campgrounds as well as the outstanding old growth redwood trees. We also visit Alices Restaurant on Skyline boulevard as we leave the park heading toward the Redwood City. Another nearby town is Woodside. The redwood forests here were known as a productive logging area in the 1800s.
