Poble Sec is a neighbourhood that allows you to stay by the centre but away from the noisy tourist crowds. A zone that today mixes daily life of the locals with new residents from different parts of the world.
It's principal point of attraction is its proximity to Montjuïc. In a few minutes you can leave the bustle of the city and escape to a natural setting with parks and lovely views
Paral·lel is the avenue that borders it, full of theatres and protagonist of Barcelona's nightlife since the turn of the 20th Century.
Weekends bring people who come here to eat and drink along streets such as Carrer Blai and Blesa, dotted with terraces and Pintxo bars.

The complex features stunning Moorish architecture, beautiful gardens, and fountains. 2. Sagrada Familia A large unfinished Roman Catholic church in Barcelona, also designed by Antoni Gaudí. The construction of this church began in 1882 and is still ongoing today. The church features unique architectural styles that combine Gothic and Art Nouveau designs. 3. Santiago de Compostela Cathedral A Roman Catholic cathedral located in the city of Santiago de Compostela, Galicia. It is believed to be the burial place of Saint James, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ. The cathedral is a beautiful example of Romanesque architecture, with many intricate details and sculptures. 4. Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba A historic mosque and cathedral located in the city of Córdoba, Andalusia. Originally built in the 8th century as a mosque, the site was later converted into a Catholic cathedral during the Reconquista. The building is a unique blend of Islamic and Christian architectural styles, with beautiful arches, columns, and ornate decorations.
Culture & Celebrations 1. Museo del Prado The main national art museum of Spain, located in Madrid. The museum houses an extensive collection of European art, dating from the 12th century to the early 20th century. The collection includes works by famous Spanish artists such as Francisco Goya and Diego Velázquez, as well as other European masters like Rembrandt, Raphael, and Rubens. 2. Fallas de Valencia A festival held in Valencia, which takes place every March. The festival is known for its large, ornate sculptures, which are made out of paper mache and wood, and are set up throughout the city. The festival also includes fireworks, concerts, and parades. On the last night of the festival, the sculptures are burned in a large bonfire, known as La Cremà. 3. Flamenco A traditional dance and music form that originated in Andalusia. Flamenco is known for its passionate and rhythmic style, and is often performed with a guitar, singing, and hand clapping. Flamenco shows can be found throughout Spain, but Andalusia is known as the heart of flamenco culture. 4. Bullfighting A traditional sport that involves a bullfighter, or matador, facing off against a bull in an arena. The sport is controversial!
