Welcome to my channel and today’s video is about Exploring Bogota Colombia, A day in Plaza Bolívar & Presidential Palace.
Bogota, Colombia’s capital city has a lot to offer those willing to explore it. The museum scene is incredible, there’s a lot of history, a blossoming art community, an exciting food scene, a wild nightlife, The friendly locals and wonderful culinary make it vibrant, lively city. It is one of the most exciting and culturally diverse cities in Latin America.
Enjoy this brief walking tour of the old town of Bogota around the Plaza Bolivar, showing the presidential palace, the treasury, ministry buildings and the city's oldest cathedral. Bogota has indeed a very fascinating type of architecture with many colonial or historical buildings being surrounded by modern or late 20th century functional blocks. The area around the Plaza de Bolivar, the Cathedral and the palace is the only truly consistent spot I identified in Bogota.
Going north from the plaza into the old town you can still experience that historical vibe to some effect, yet already one street behind the palace, the modern block and glass buildings take over.

Trujillo was the next stop on our road trip, and a bit of a shock for us. It seems Trujillo still boasts about its sons in the 15th and 16th centuries who pillaged and plundered Central and South America.
