Enna, Sicily, Italy in 4K (UHD) HDR

#Enna is located in the very center of #Sicily and is located at the top of a plateau at an altitude of 931 meters above sea level. The history of the city goes back centuries.
The necropolises found near the city date back to the Neolithic era. Until 1926, Enna was called Castrogiovanni.
On the territory of Enna, ancient Roman coins were found, according to which they found the name of the ancient city - HENNA.
On the oldest coins of the ancient Greek period, Enna is called ΗΕΝΝΑΙΟΝ.
Historically, Enna has been an important agricultural center since the days of Arab rule.
Most of the local wheat is still grown in the surrounding fields.
So it is likely that the pasta, which can be tasted all over Italy, began with Enna.
The only province in Sicily that is landlocked.
Enna is also steeped in myths and legends, thanks to the ancient cult of Demeter, the ancient goddess of grain and earth.
The name of the city was given by its first inhabitants - the ancient Greeks, and over the years either Arabs or Italians changed it in their own way,
until in 1927 everything returned to normal - the name of Anne was approved again.
Agriculture, widespread in the region, was the main source of life for the city's population.
In addition, information about ancient thermal resorts has come down to us - the found baths were the resting place of the Greeks.

Antoine Gigal: The Pyramid Complex of Mauritius FULL LECTURE

Join Megalithomania in November 2020 to explore this pyramid and others on a specially designed 13 day tour. Details at Filmed at the Megalithomania Conference in Johannesburg, March 13th-14th 2011. In January 2008 Gigal and her team re-discovered the existence of seven Pyramids on Mauritius Island (Plaine Magnien). She described the structures as true pyramids after very long years of being lost to the world. Then in June 2009 Gigal and the team discovered a lot of not yet identified pyramids in Sicily and important structures near by and around the Etna volcano, where she discovered different shapes and structures of the pyramids. The Pyramids of Mauritius and Sicily are similar as those of Tenerife and others in that general area and yet again, question what ancient civilisation must have been present here through history. -

Bertinoro | Italy Without Comment #06

A perfectly preserved medieval village tied to its generous land with its wine (among which “Albana” stands out) and good food culture, Bertinoro is also the capital of hospitality for its century-old tradition of welcoming tourists; on weekends, many italians with their families come here to eat. Bertinoro is located in a panoramic position on the slopes of the hill of Monte Maggio, dominating the Via Emilia road between Cesena and Forlì.
