Jahrhundert anschauen.

ANSBACH. Full tour through the Hofgarten residence park of the town. (Germany)

Welcome to a new video at the Franconian town Ansbach in Bavaria at Germany. The Residence park called Hofgarten is next to the Residence a place which made the town famouns. In summer both wintertime a visit at this park is amazing. Enjoy my tour through a park with history, green areas and more.

The tour through the park:
On a stay at my second home town Ansbach, I made a walk through the Hofgarten residence park of the town. My tour begun at the biggest place of the town at the Residence. At first I went to the huge place in front of the intern castle called Orangerie. At next I visited the place where the mysterius child called Kasper Hauser was killed by an unkown person. After a look to the mounument of the known men called Uz from Ansbach I took the direct way to the behindest place of the park where for many years a red pavillon is placed. At next I walked back to the entrance where I went in the park and visited the garden which is administrated from the community of Ansbach for developing vegetables both exotic grops.
According that Ansbach is my second home town I have a lot of memories to this park. I showed you some pictures of this park and event there for the end.

About the Hofgarten, residence park of Ansbach:
The Hofgarten in Ansbach is one of the most famous parks in (Bavaria/ Germany) The park has many green meadows, nice springs both the Orangerie which use the community every year for events like the Bachwoche or the Kasper Hauser festival for example. At the summer time you can have lunch with the classic franconian kitchen in the Restaurant on the left side of the Orangerie. Spending time is always an experience there. All over you will see tourists from all around the world. The flowers at the big front place are developing from the park administration are with distance one symbol of the park. In the winter time you can enjoy a walk on snow for example from the red pavilon to the entrance at the street which is going to the station.
The park is very good to arrive by foot from the place called Schlossplatz and the station.

Places to see in ( Fuerth - Germany )

Places to see in ( Fuerth - Germany )

Fürth is a city in northern Bavaria, Germany, in the administrative division of Middle Franconia. It is now contiguous with the larger city of Nuremberg, the centres of the two cities being only 7 km apart. The city of Fuerth is a small city located in Middle Franconia. Located nearby the larger city of Nuremberg, it was first mentioned in 1007 AD. In the year 2007, the city celebrated its thousandth anniversary. During the 30 year war in the 17th-century, the whole city was almost completely destroyed by fire set by the Croatian soldiers. It survived other wars such as World War I & II and grew to be a city in its own rights. The first German railway was opened here in 1835 which connects to Nuremberg. There’s a lot of cool things to see in this city and we’ve compiled a list of 10 places specially for you.

The beautiful Stadpark is a green lung right in the middle of the city. There are loads of things you can do here. You can go for a jog by the running trails or simply ride a bicycle around the bike paths. The Wolfsgruber mill (also known as Wolfsgrubermühle in German) is one of the oldest mills in Fuerth. It was first mentioned in the early 17th-century and belonged to the Eckart family. It was then passed on to the Wolfsgruber family in the 19th-century.

The Logenhaus was first erected by the famous German freemason, Leonhard Bürger as a place for the Masonic lodge of Truth and Friendship in 1890. The unique blend of many different kinds of historical styles makes this building one of its kind in Bavaria. The Grüner Markt (also known as Marktplatz) is an open area which is in the centre of the old town of Fuerth. The place is lined with a variety of cafes, beautiful courtyards and an array of interesting shops.

The Fuerth State Museum has a massive collection of anything and everything that has to do with the history of the city. The collections were first collected by Conrad Gebhardt, the merchant and deputy of the Reichs parliament. Located at the basement of the Fuerth Town Hall, immerse yourself in awe and mystery as you delve into the minds of the criminals from the past to present in this museum.

Hainburg Nature Reserve huge 213 hectare (526 acre) nature reserve was first listed as a conservation area in 1995. Before that, it was a training ground for the US Army. The Schloss Burgfarrnbach is a neo-classical castle which was made in the early 19th-century. It is now home to the scientific library and countless other city archives which provide the basis for the permanent exhibitions in the Stadtmusuem.

The Rundfunkmuseum is a radio museum which was founded in 1993. If you’re an audiophile, a visit to this place is a must. The Alte Veste (Old Veste) is a tower hill castle which was erected as an observation tower by the Berg family in the 13th-century. During the town war, it was overrun by the Nurembergers and the Old Veste was abandoned in the late 14th-century.

Ansbach Residence, Germany - Walking Tour

Ansbach Residence, Germany - Walking Tour

Residenz Ansbach (Ansbach Residence), also known as Markgrafenschloß (Margrave's Palace), is a palace in Ansbach, Germany. It was the government seat of the Margrave of Brandenburg-Ansbach. Today it is the administrative seat of the government of Middle Franconia.
The Great Hall and the Orangerie in its garden serve as venues for the biennial music festival Bachwoche Ansbach.

The palace was developed from a medieval building. From 1398 to 1400 Frederick I, Elector of Brandenburg, expanded a Stiftshof outside the city walls to a water castle. Structural remains are preserved in the northwest wing of the present building.

George Frederick, Margrave of Brandenburg-Ansbach, ordered the Swabian architect Blasius Berwart (his chief architect from 1563 to 1580) to build a palace. It was erected in Renaissance style from 1565 to 1575. A large hall was built from 1565 to 1575, now called the Gothische Halle (Gothic Hall) because of its rib vault. It now houses the largest collection of fayence and porcelain of the former Ansbacher Manufaktur.

A century later, the major construction was done by Gabriel de Gabrieli (1694–1716), by Karl Friedrich von Zocha (1719–1730), and by Leopold Retti (1731–1749). Between 1705 and 1738 the building was changed to its present form.
Gabriel de Gabrieli created before 1709 the southeast wing with the main facade in a style similar to Viennese Baroque. The interior dates from 1734 to 1745 under architect Leopoldo Retti. Carlo Carlone created a fresco on the ceiling of the Festsaal (Festive hall). Meissen porcelain is shown in the Spiegelkabinett (Hall of Mirrors).

The interior of the palace has a hall of mirrors with French rococo features; the great hall was provided with painted ceiling and the rooms were fitted with Ansbach porcelain tiles of 18th century vintage. It had a garden that was laid out in the 16th century and modified in the 18th century with an orangerie.

The castle has richly furnished state rooms on the first floor. In 1791, Karl August von Hardenberg, Prussia's representative in Ansbach, added board rooms and a library. From 1806, once the Royal Bavarian Government of Rezatkreis started functioning in Ansbach, the castle's first floor rooms were converted into offices, while the rooms on other floors remained unchanged. Between 1962 and 1974, the last major renovations to the castle were completed. The Bavarian Administration of State-owned Palaces, Gardens and Lakes is in charge of the buildings and the museum.
