You can see a lot of Cornwall just two days. A five-hour train trip from London brings you to Penzance where can search for pirates, see nearby Saint Michael's Mount, board the Land's End Coaster for a hop on/hop off journey across the tip of the peninsula and see the beaches, tidal harbor and charm-filled streets of St. Ives. [Filmed October 19, 2020] PLEASE NOTE: Cornwall was in Tier 1 on the date that this video was filmed, and we had traveled from another Tier 1 area. All of the UK’s hands-face-space guidelines were followed, and Derek and I strictly adhered to all local rules and regulations.
In today’s video, Derek and I drove from our AirBNB near Falmouth to the southwestern-most tip of Cornwall, England.
We first made sure to hike to Land’s End properly, so we could be official End to Ender's when we drove to John O’Groats later in this trip!
Then, we winded our way through the Cornish back roads to the Minack Theatre - which was the highlight of my day! It was absolutely stunning and I hope to go back someday and see a show!
As a final stop, we went to Penzance and scoped out the town. If only we could have stayed the night so we could go to some of the fun looking pubs!

A visit to the busy harbour town of Penzance in Cornwall!
Penzance is a town, civil parish and port in the Penwith district of Cornwall, United Kingdom. It is the most westerly major town in Cornwall and is about 64 miles (103 km) west-southwest of Plymouth and 255 miles (410 km) west-southwest of London. Situated in the shelter of Mount's Bay, the town faces south-east onto the English Channel, is bordered to the west by the fishing port of Newlyn, to the north by the civil parish of Madron and to the east by the civil parish of Ludgvan. The civil parish includes the town of Newlyn and the villages of Mousehole, Paul, Gulval, and Heamoor. Granted various royal charters from 1512 onwards and incorporated on 9 May 1614, it has a population of 21,200 (2011 census).
Also of interest is the seafront with its promenade and the open-air seawater Jubilee Bathing Pool (one of the oldest surviving Art Deco swimming baths in the country).
Penzance is the base of the pirates in Gilbert and Sullivan's comic opera, The Pirates of Penzance. At the time the libretto was written, 1879, it had become popular as a peaceful resort town, so the idea of it being overrun by pirates was amusing to contemporaries.
