Seneca Rocks is one of the best-known landmarks in West Virginia. These rocks have long been noted as a scenic attraction and are popular with rock climbers.
The rocks are a magnificent formation rising nearly 900 feet above the North Fork River.
But even less people know that there is a beautiful hidden watering hole right under the rocks.

Best Things to Do in Arizona: Parsons Trail in Cottonwood
Summer in Arizona is something you might either love or hate. We love it — mostly because it's an excuse to be in the water almost 24/7. And we love finding new places to enjoy the water. One place we found recently is Parsons Trail in Cottonwood.
It's part easy hike, part relaxation time in the water. (What more could you want?) Here are our tips to really enjoy this location:
1️⃣ A four-wheel drive vehicle with decent clearance is an absolute must. To get to the parking area at the trailhead, you'll be off-roading. If you have a truck or a large SUV, take it. We've seen small cars trying to make this drive ... it doesn't look fun.
2️⃣ There's plenty of space for you to enjoy the water, so bring your pool floats or anything that'll make your time that much more relaxing!
3️⃣ If you're planning to bring snacks or drinks (we recommend), please bring garbage bags too. There aren't any trash bins once you leave the trailhead, and this place is pristine. #NoLittering
4️⃣ After your hike back up to the trailhead, stop in Old Town Cottonwood. There are quite a few restaurants and bars (we like Pizzeria Bocce and The Tavern Grille, but then are others too). There are also some nice shops and wine tasting rooms.

This video shows the route from WV 72 near Parsons WV north to US 50 and US 50 east to US 48, Corridor H near Mount Storm WV. All of the roads are state maintained and suitable for all passenger vehicles.
