Parkes NSW (Town Tour)

Parkes, NSW . There are two main reasons people visit Parkes in the state’s Central West. First is ‘The Dish’, a giant radio telescope that played an integral part in the Moon landings; the second is the Parkes Elvis Festival, a rollicking annual event where pompadours and pomade rule.

But there’s so much more to discover here, including a world-class sculpture trail. Tune in and drop out.

Visit to the Elvis Museum in Parkes NSW #australianoutbackadventure #elvispresley #elvisinparkes

We visit the Elvis Museum in Parkes. The Home of the awesome Elvis Festival.

Dubbo, Parkes, Forbes, Deniliquin (NSW country towns)

Our original plans were to visit some of the towns down the middle of New South Wales and see what we find. Nature defied us and sent one of the worst rain systems in 100 years so we were limited on where we could go and how far we could venture off the main roads, you will see that we had to turn back a couple of times.

We had wonderful stays in the bigger country towns along the Newell Highway right down the middle of NSW. Checked out the plane museums, car museums and Elvis museum.

Hope you like it as much as we did.
