सिद्धार्थनगर ज़िला भारत के उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य का एक ऐतिहासिक जिला है।यहां महात्मा बुद्ध के नाम से एक राजकीय विश्वविद्यालय यथा- सिद्धार्थ विश्वविद्यालय स्थित है। जिले का मुख्यालय, सिद्धार्थनगर, नौगढ़ तहसील के अन्तर्गत आता है। यह जनपद ऐतिहासिक शाक्य जनपद के खण्डहरों के लिए प्रसिद्ध है, जो नौगढ़ से 18 कि॰मी॰ दूर पिपरहवा में है। सिद्धार्थनगर हिन्दू धर्मं की स्मृतियों का संग्रह है, जिनमें पल्टादेवी मंदिर शामिल है। यह शोहरतगढ़ तहसील के ग्राम पंचायत पल्टादेवी में अतिप्राचीन मंदिर है। सिद्धार्थनगर जिला बौद्ध धर्म का भी बहुत बड़ा पर्यटन स्थल है। यहां पर भगवान बुद्ध का राजमहल स्थित है। कहा जाता है कि जब भगवान बुद्ध की माता गर्भावस्था में थी तो वो सिद्धार्थनगर से अपने मायके नेपाल में जा रही थी तो वहीं रास्ते में लुम्बनी में भगवान बुद्ध का जन्म हुआ।

Koilabas (Nepali: कोइलाबास) is a bazaar town situated in Gadhawa Rural Municipality in Dang Deokhuri District in Lumbini Province of south-western Nepal. The town is situated on the southern edge of the Dudhwa Range of the Siwaliks, at Nepal's border with Uttar Pradesh 5 km from the village Jarwa on the other side. Indian and Nepalese nationals may cross the border unrestricted however there is a customs checkpoint for goods. Koilabas has regular bus service to Tulsipur on the Gorakhpur-Gonda Loop of Indian Railways.
