Râmnicu Vâlcea (population: 92,573) is the capital city of Vâlcea County, Romania (in the historical province of Oltenia). Râmnicu Vâlcea is situated in the central-south area of Romania. Set at the foothills of the Southern Carpathians, the city is located at about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) from the Cozia Mountains and about 40 kilometres (25 mi) from the Făgăraș and Lotrului Mountains. The southern limit of the city is formed by the Getic Plateau and the Olt River valley. The E81 road (a road of European interest) and one of the main national railway routes cross the city. The climate is defined as Dfa (humid continental with warm summers) bordering Cfa (humid subtropical). Precipitation amount is higher in the summer, although not high enough in order to be a Dwa type climate.

The railway network of Romania consists of 11,380 km (7,070 mi), of which 3,971 km (2,467 mi) (34.9%) are electrified, and the total track length is 22,247 km (13,824 mi), of which 8,585 km (5,334 mi) (38.5%) are electrified. The network is significantly interconnected with other European railway networks, providing pan-European passenger and freight services. CFR as an entity has been operating since 1880, even though the first railway on current Romanian territory was opened in 1854.
CFR is divided into four autonomous companies: CFR Călători, responsible for passenger services; CFR Marfă, responsible for freight transport; CFR Infrastructură, manages the infrastructure on the Romanian railway network; and Societatea Feroviară de Turism, or SFT, which manages scenic and tourist railways.
CFR Călători, the passenger service division of CFR, operates seven types of passenger train, both on Romania's territory, with rolling stock and locomotives, or internationally, with rolling stock. Also, CFR operates international trains on Romanian territory with its own locomotives. The train types vary in terms of speed and type of rolling stock. In 2010, approximately 58 million passengers have traveled with the company. 10 million travelers have preferred private equity firms in particular on the side lines.

De la parcuri si piete si pana la istorie si cultura, Ramnicu Valcea este o destinatie turistica ce merita sa o pui pe lista ta de calatorii. De asemenea, Baile Olanesti, despre care auzisem atatea, s-a dovedit o statiunea prin care merita cel putin sa treci. Camping Gradina Ioanei - Baile Olanesti - Valcea
🏕️Am fost iar cu cortul, de data aceasta prin judetul Valcea, la doar 9 km distanta de Baile Olanesti, in campingul Gradina Ioanei. A fost asa de frumos... am stat la foc si povesti, iar seara am vazut licurici (ultimele secunde din clip), iar apoi milioane de stele. 👉Recomand cu drag acest camping celor care cauta un loc retras, linistit si fara galagie, muzica etc. Am lasat mai multe detalii despre aceasta locatie pe blog: 🏕️Corturile si tot setup-ul de camping sunt de la @decathlonromania
