The Monastery of Saint John of Caaveiro is a Galician monastery founded in the tenth century by Saint Rudesind. It is situated in Pontedeume, Ferrolterra, Galicia, within the Fragas do Eume Natural park.
Here you can get maps of all the hiking paths in Fragas do Eume, updated information and book a guided tour to the monastery of Caaveiro, advisable during the summer months when this part of Galicia is very popular with Spanish and foreign tourists alike.
Caaveiro is a Monastery in the middle of Fragas do Eume. Near the town side of the bridge stands the other landmark, the Tower of Andrade. This is all that´s left from a huge medieval castle. The tower contains a small museum and,very important, is the seat of the Tourist Information Office.

Castelo de Santa Cruz ubicado en Oleiros, A Coruña. Es uno de los símbolos del concello de Oleiros. Está enclavado en un islote de la ría de A Coruña al cual se accede por una pasarela peatonal de madera. Fue declarado Bien de Interés Cultural por su alto interés histórico, lo que junto a su belleza natural y paisajística, hacen de este lugar un paraje extraordinario lleno de magia e historia.
La isla cuenta a su alrededor con un paseo litoral desde el que se puede disfrutar de unas magníficas e inmejorables vistas de la ciudad herculina, así como de Santa Cruz y de su pequeño puerto, que aunque hoy en día el número de marineros es muy reducido, fue uno de los más importantes de Oleiros entre los siglos XVI a XVIII.
En los alrededores de Santa Cruz hay también otros puntos de interés que vale la pena ser visitados como el Monumento Natural Costa de Dexo, la playa de Santa Cristina o el pequeño Puerto de Lorbé. Además, desde el 2013, el Ayuntamiento de Oleiros forma parte de la Reserva de la Biosfera Mariñas Coruñesas e Terras do Mandeo, que representa el 14,33% de la superficie de la provincia de A Coruña, repartida en 17 ayuntamientos. Es la segunda Reserva de Biosfera gallega por orden de superficie, siendo la primera declarada en la provincia de A Coruña.
