► Kairakuen is a Japanese garden located in Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture. Along with Kenrokuen and Korakuen, it is considered one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan. Kairakuen was built relatively recently, in the year 1841 by the local lord Tokugawa Nariaki.
While worth a visit throughout the year, Kairakuen is most attractive during the ume blossom season, which usually takes place from late February until middle of March. DATE:11 October 2022 Hitachi Seaside Park, located in Hitachinaka, Ibaraki prefecture, Japan, next to Beach, is a flower park and a popular tourist destination. The park covers an area of 3.5 hectares and the flowers are amazing all year round. Every autumn thousands of Kochia bushes turn crimson on Miharashi Hill inside the Hitachi Seaside Park in Japan. Many come to see the beautiful balls of red that cover entire fields. We simply cannot help but marvel at this remarkable autumn view. During the Kochia Carnival visitors can immerse themselves in the park's unique fall colors and walk amongst red Kochia bushes and millions of cosmos flowers. 茨城県ひたちなか市にある「ひたち海浜公園」は四季の彩り鮮やかな花々が堪能できる国営公園。公園は大きく７つのエリアに分かれ、西口エリアにある「みはらしの丘」は、ひたちなか市内で一番標高の高い丘。ここの斜面1万2,000平方mにモコモコとした愛らしい姿のコキア（和名、ほうき草）が植えられている。秋は真っ赤に紅葉し、美しく斜面を飾る。３万２千本のコキアは、枝や葉を乾燥させてほうきの材料となる植物で、緑の葉が深紅に紅葉する。丘からは晴れた日には筑波山も見える。 #紅葉の名所 #ひたち海浜公園のコキア#ひたち海浜公園

Hitachi Seaside Park is best known for the stunning blue nemophila flowers in spring (mid-April onwards) and bright red kochia bushes in autumn (October). There’s plenty to see year-round, including daffodils, tulips, sunflowers, and oil-seed rape blossoms, and it’s also home to a small amusement park and traditional Japanese farmhouses.
📍Location: Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki prefecture. • It’s less than 2 hours by train from Tokyo, so it would be a nice day trip!

Ibaraki Port is located 100 km northwest of Tokyo, in the middle of Ibaraki Prefecture. The port is used as sea gateways for the northern Kanto area. It is about 320km away,12 to 16 hours, from Tokyo Bay by ship. Ibaraki Prefecture is known for its incredible sightseeing areas such as Hitachi Seaside Park and Kairakuen Garden, famous for their flowers, and Fukuroda Falls, one of the Three Great Waterfalls of Japan. There are many scenic and historical areas, and you can also experience Japanese culture in various ways. Start your trip from Ibaraki Port.
Hitachinaka (aka Hitachi-Naka) is a port city in Japan's Ibaraki Prefecture (Honshu Island) with a population of around 160,000. The city was established in 1994 as a merger of two municipal towns within Naka District - Hiraiso and Minato (Nakaminato). Current-day city's economy is based on manufacturing (Hitachi factories), commercial fishing, agriculture, tourism.
The city is served by three railways operated by JR East - Joban Line (linking the train stations Katsuta and Sawa), Suigun Line (linking the train stations Hitachi-Aoyagi and Tsuda), and Minato Line (linking the stations Katsuta-Kokimae-Kaneage-Nakane-Takadano-Nakaminato-Tonoyama-Hiraiso-Isozaki-Ajigaura). Minato Line is the 3rd section of the Hitachinaka Seaside Railway. The city is also interlinked via 4 highways - national routes 6 and 245, Hitachinaka Road, and Higashi-Mito Road. Hitachinaka is served by Fukushima Airport (in Sukagawa), located approx 90 km (60 mi) away.
Among the most visited tourist attractions are Hitachi Seaside Park, City Stadium, Baseball Stadium, the swimming beaches Ajigaura, and Hiraiso. The city is best known for its annual Rock in Japan Festival. The 3-day event is held each August (at Hitachi Seaside Park) and is currently Japan's biggest in terms of attendance.
