Thomson falls Nyahururu: the biggest waterfalls in Kenya

Thomsons falls is on a river called Ewaso Ng'iro in Central rift valley Kenya. It is a few kilometres from Ol Bolossat lake. This lake drains from the Aberdare range. The falls is situated 3km from Nyahururu town, at an elevation of 2,360m. Joseph Thomson was the first European to reach Thomson falls in 1883.

Thomson's Falls Lodge is located at the world's famous Thomson's Falls, which was discovered in 1883 by Joseph Thomson, a scottish geologist and naturalist. It's 7,800 feet above sea level and sits on a 10 acre lawn thats shaded with african olives, cedar trees among other exotic trees which makes us the perfect place for family and friends gatherings, picnics, conferencing, weddings, vacations & leisure travellers.

One can always view the falls from the Lodge as the site is breathtaking or take a 20 minutes or so walk down the bottom of the Gorge.

NYAHURURU TOWN - The Highest town in Kenya.

Nyahururu town is in Laikipia County. It is the highest town in terms of altitude.
The town was name after Nyahururu falls which is also known as #Thompsonsfalls.
The roads were done well between 2017 to 2022, I suppose under Ndiritu Muriithi. We visited Nyahururu falls during the rainy season where it was quite wild. we will share in our subsequent videos.
