The National Road 7 (DN7) is one of the magistral roads in Romania, which links Bucharest with Southern Transylvania and Crişana regions (central and western Romania) and further to the Hungarian capital Budapest.

Total length of the road: 525 km

It is a high-traffic road and the preferred route for trucks. It crosses the Carpathian mountains 2 times: through the Olt Valley and Mureş Valley.

Olt Valley is the longest gorge in Romania, spanning 47 kilometers between the towns of Turnu Rosu and Cozia. The Olt River, which flows from the Hasmas Mare (eastern Carpathians, north of Miercuria Ciuc), carved this valley between Cozia and Fagaras.

Olt River, river, rising close to the headwaters of the Mureş River, in the Ciuc Depression, east central Romania, at an elevation of 5,900 feet (1,800 m); it flows generally southwest and then south for 420 miles (670 km), entering the Danube at Turnu-Măgurele.

Nădlac (Romanian pronunciation: [nədˈlak]; Hungarian: Nagylak; Slovak: Nadlak) is a town in western Romania, Arad County. A former part of the town lies across the border with Hungary; this village is called Nagylak. An international border town, Nădlac is the main border crossing into western Romania from Hungary. It is also a centre of the Lutheran Slovak community in Romania. Situated in the western part of Arad County, 50 km from the county capital, at the western border of Romania, Nădlac is the main entrance gate from Western Europe.
Nădlac was first mentioned in documents in 1313 when it was known as Noglog.
The town's name in Hungarian language means big place. The Romanian and Slovak names derive from that.( )

Bucharest was first mentioned in documents in 1459. It became the capital of Romania in 1862 and is the centre of Romanian media, culture, and art. The Romanian City Where The Houses Have Eyes!

My Romanian travels brought me to the city of Sibiu, where I would be seeing in the new year. I had decided that Sighisoara was too small a city to celebrate the end of 2021 and I made the right choice. Sibiu was building up to an exciting finale to the year with Romanian hip-hop band Subcarpati playing in the main square.

Sibiu turned out to be a beautiful city with some incredible architecture. What made it even more unusual were the houses that seemed to have eyes and watched you as you roamed the cobbled streets!
