Khandala is a hill station in the Western Ghat mountains of Maharashtra, western India. It's home to vantage spots including Sunset Point and Rajmachi Point, with views of Rajmachi Fort. Kune Falls is a 3-tiered waterfall set in a dramatic valley. Waterfalls surround the Tamhini Ghat mountain pass. East of town, the Bhaja and Karla caves are ancient, Buddhist rock-cut shrines featuring intricate carvings and pillars. 1.Visapur Fort
Visapur Fort is a great architecture that has been all the test of time. Out here, one can find caves, walls, arches, and old houses. Among all these, the two roofless buildings that once belonged to the secretariat, are worth noticing. One can find several numbers of Hanuman Temples too, as he was the patron deity of Visapur fort.
2.Kune Falls
Kune Falls has the stunning backdrop of the famous Sahyadri Hills. It is a three-tiered waterfall cascading feathers from a height of 200 m and is a must include traveler place in Lonavala tour packages. The waterfall divided into two sections. The most significant drop at this three-tier waterfall is about 100 m—the site surrounded by lush green vegetation and gives a great visual experience.
3.Bhor Ghat
Bhor Ghat is a picturesque range passage between Palsdari and Khandala for railway tracks and between Khopoli and Khandala on the Maharashtra road route. Located at the crest of Western Ghats, the area has abundant natural beauty and several scenic spots, making it one of the most popular picnic destinations in the region.
4. Lion's point
The view from the Lions Point is grand and panoramic. One would see dozens of tiny waterfalls, lush green hills, and lakes around during monsoon season. The sunrise and sunset scenes from here are mesmerizing. The wind is mighty at this place, and it was quite exciting to see many brave people get close to the end to get 'that' living-on-the-edge photograph.
5.Manaranjan Fort
Manaranjan Fort is one of the two ancient citadels that together form the historical Rajmachi Fort near Lonavala. It is perched at the height of 2700 feet, slightly lower than the other fort. It built to overlook and guard the surrounding plateau and centuries-old trade route between Pune and Maharashtra.
6. Duke's Nose
Duke's NoseNose named after the Duke of Wellington, owing to its resemblance to the NoseNose of Duke in a reclining position. The mountain is looked like a snakes hood and hence the name Nagphani. The high elevation of this place makes it an excellent vantage point. This site is also famous for exciting activities like trekking, hiking, and rock climbing, which attract many adventure enthusiasts.
7.Rajmachi Park
Situated on the way to Mumbai from Lonavala, Rajmachi Park is a green patch that serves as a popular picnic spot in Khandala. This park nestled at the starting point of the beautiful Khandala Ghat, which makes it the gateway to this hilly tourist paradise.
8.Bhushi Lake
Bhushi Lake is a one-stop destination to be a nature lover. Established in Khandala, this spot is ideal for a lazy afternoon spent relaxing by the banks. Its serene and peaceful surroundings and crystal clear water provides immense opportunities for the tourists to rest in peace.
9.Lohagad Darshan
Lohagad Darshan is a garden located in Bhangarwadi. In this small park, there is also a representation of Veer Savarkar. Having plenty of toys, it frequented by travelers visiting the destination with their kids. The garden is home to significant grassy lands and lush vegetation.
