Jenna & I spent over 2 months in Washington State and Mount Rainier National Park was a HUGE highlight. We visited 3 different times with various friends and family that came out to visit and would gladly spend a lot more time there!
Hopefully this video is helpful if you’re considering planning a trip to Mount Rainier. The Paradise area is probably the most popular in the park and for good reason. The Skyline Trail would be at the top of my recommendations list if I had to pick just one trail.
It’s worth mentioning that Summertime gets quite busy here. We visited in early October and it was amazing.

Stunning Mount Rainier is situated southeast of Seattle. On a clear day, you can see the majestic mountain from the city. The whole area around Mount Rainier is a national park with several trails and hike opportunities. For some hike recommendations, you can visit which lists the best hikes around the mountain. If you want to climb to the top, please check the National Park Service's website here:
To get here, fly to Seattle and rent a car. It's about a 2-3 hour drive. You can also go on guided day trips from Seattle.
