Georgia is a state in the Southeastern region of the United States, bordered to the north by Tennessee and North Carolina; to the northeast by South Carolina; to the southeast by the Atlantic Ocean; to the south by Florida; and to the west by Alabama. Georgia is the 24th-largest state in area and 8th most populous of the 50 United States. Its 2020 population was 10,711,908, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.[5] Atlanta, a beta(+) global city, is both the state's capital and its largest city. The Atlanta metropolitan area, with a population of more than 6 million people in 2021, is the 8th most populous metropolitan area in the United States and contains about 57% of Georgia's entire population.[6]
Founded in 1732 as the Province of Georgia and first settled in 1733, Georgia became a British royal colony in 1752. It was the last and southernmost of the original Thirteen Colonies to be established. Georgia is defined by a diversity of landscapes, flora, and fauna. The state's northernmost regions include the Blue Ridge Mountains, part of the larger Appalachian Mountain system. The Piedmont plateau extends from the foothills of the Blue Ridge south to the Fall Line, an escarpment to the Coastal Plain defining the state's southern region. Georgia's highest point is Brasstown Bald at 4,784 feet (1,458 m) above sea level; the lowest is the Atlantic Ocean. With the exception of some high-altitude areas in the Blue Ridge, the entirety of the state has a humid subtropical climate. Of the states entirely east of the Mississippi River, Georgia is the largest in land area.[11]

Lake Charles is a city in southwest Louisiana. Downtown, the Mardi Gras Museum explores the history of the iconic festival through colorful costumes. The 1911 Historic City Hall Arts & Cultural Center features traveling exhibitions and local art. Nearby, the giant, centuries-old Sallier Oak tree stands on the grounds of the Imperial Calcasieu Museum, a visual arts center. The city also has several large casinos.

We just got back home from an amazing 4 day stay at Camp Wood, TX. We stayed at Camp Wood RV and Cabin Resort located off of the Nueces River. There is no water that compares to the clarity and quality of this spring-fed river! The campground has incredible cleanliness and you're allowed two tents per tent site. Because mine was on top of my Jeep, mine did not count. Amenities included water, and electricity, bathrooms with showers, swimming pool with splash pad, 300-yard golf range, pickleball (whatever that is) playground, basketball, and volleyball courts. Check out the video for all our activities and some incredible scenery to send us back home.

Winter is also a quieter season, so Savannah's visitors can really get a glimpse of the city without the crowds, and the weather is relatively warm for winter. We're talking 60-70 degrees. Exploring tide pools on the Pacific Coast Highway in California at a park known as Fitzgerald Marine Reserve. It is located in Moss Beach California which is near Half Moon Bay California just 20 minutes south of San Francisco.
This marine paradise just 20 miles south of San Francisco is on the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) also known as Highway 1 right on the California coast with the Pacific Ocean. Hike the cliff trail from Moss Beach Distillery to find what many think are the best inter tidal pools in California (US). We visit Moss Beach Distillery at the end of the video and tell you about the mysterious history. We visit the tide pools at low tide to make it easier and safer to discover the marine treasures.

Next stop on our New England fall road trip: the White Mountains in New Hampshire! These mountains make up 25% of the state and offer SO many incredible things to do, including hikes, scenic drives, unique attractions, and small towns.

Riverside Park in Lake Charles, Louisiana is a 1.5 mile (round trip - in and out) hike on a paved path that runs beside the Calcasieu River. This park was damaged as a result of the Laura/Delta hurricanes in 2020, but repairs have been made and it is a beautiful park with easy access to the river. Friends have told us to be aware if you are hiking in the early morning as they've walked up on wild hogs (they ran off) before.
The hike is about .7 miles from the front of the park to the end of the trail. You'll find a picnic area and beautiful views at the end of the trail, as well as a fun area to play for the kids. You'll see spanish moss, beautiful plants and abundant nature while walking this enjoyable path.
