The Shrine of Our Lady of Grace, also known as Sanctuary of Montenero, is a religious complex on the Monte Nero Livorno Hills, in Livorno, central Italy. The complex, elevated to the rank of Basilica and maintained by Vallumbrosan monks, is devoted to Our Lady of Grace of Montenero, patron of Tuscany. It also includes a rich gallery of votive offerings.
To commemorate a legend, a small Chapel was built at the beginning of the road that leads to the shrine dating back to 1603. In 1956 it was replaced by a larger church. The Theatine monks enlarged the sanctuary. Between the end of the 16th century and early 17th century an oval atrium was added and richly decorated. After the suppression of religious orders by Grand Duke Peter Leopold, the sanctuary fell into ruin. It was later restored.
The presence of caves dug into the hill behind the shrine is attested since ancient times and probably have also been a refuge for robbers. In the early 20th century, they were extended as a result of an excavation company, which obtained permission for the extraction of the stone material. Having hosted shelters during World War II, it had been fully consolidated in 1971 and then open to visitors of the shrine.

In this agricultural land, regional food is based on the products of the earth and of sheep-breeding, and is also influenced by the nearby regions.
There are many typical dishes in Molise: from maccheroni alla chitarra to pallotte with cheese and eggs, pasta and beans, polenta, lamb and roast turcinelli, that is lamb offal.
Among the best products of the area are extra-virgin olive oil, Isenia truffle and durum wheat pasta. There are several types of salami and cold pork meat, like the saggicciotti, liver sausages, ventricina salami and pampanera, oven-dried bacon with hot pepper.

Circa 700 foto scattate in movimento con un intervallometro impostato a 2 secondi, lungo le strade di campagna sulle colline a ridosso del mare molisano verso la foce del fiume Trigno tra Abruzzo e Molise nel comune di Montenero di Bisaccia.
Le foto sono state fatte con una Canon M100 con obiettivo kit 15-45mm, elaborate con RawTherapee e sequenziate con Kdenlive per ottenere un hyperlapse misto a slideshow fotografico. Entrambi i software sono liberi ed a codice aperto, nello specifico installati su un sistema Linux Fedora 33.

Find Molise! See a part of Italy not many see, or have even heard of.
This is a part of Italy that isn't seen by many foreign tourists. Even Italians tease that Molise non esiste (Molise doesn't exist). It does, and it is worth a visit. We spent a couple days in the capital, Campobasso, with side trips to a ghost town and to Termoli on the coast.
This short trip does not do the area justice, but does give us a reason to go back later.
-And I found a typo in the movie... But really don't feel like re-editing it, uploading and typing all this again. Dang it.

Ferienhaus mit Pool in Montenero - Toskana
Unsere vierte Unterkunft ist ein Ferienhaus mit Pool in Montenero in der südlichen Toskana. Das Ferienhaus ist ca. 60 Minuten von den Stränden am Mittelmeer und ca. 30 Minuten von den heißen Thermalbädern der Toskana entfernt. Für eine Besichtigung der großen Städte Florenz, Lucca und Pisa liegt das Ferienhaus eigentlich schon zu weit südlich.
Das Ferienhaus hat einen großen Naturgarten mit Außenküche, Pool und einigen Stellplätzen. Das Ferienhaus besteht aus einem Gemeinschaftsraum mit Tisch und sechs kleinen Sesseln sowie einer Küche und drei davon abgehenden Zimmern (zwei Doppelzimmer und ein Dreibettzimmer) mit eigenen Bädern und Toiletten.
Das Ferienhaus hatten wir über Novasol angemietet:

Hyperlapse andando verso la Torre di Montebello affacciata sul mare, eretta nel secolo XVI, sotto il dominio di Carlo V, per tenere sotto controllo la costa dalle invasioni saracene, da circa 10 anni completamente restaurata.
Immersa nelle campagna collinare a ridosso del mare, permette una visuale dal Gargano alla Majella passando per la Costa dei Trabocchi. Le foto sono state scattate in dng con Open Camera elaborate con RawTherapee e montate con Kdenlive insime a brevi video.
