REPUBLIKA SAN MARINO - uważa się za najstarszą republikę świata, utworzoną w 301 roku przez utalentowanego chrześcijańskiego budowniczego, kamieniarza (inni podają, iż był kowalem) zwanego Świętym Marinusem. Gdy uciekał przed prześladowcą chrześcijan -- cesarzem rzymskim Dioklecjanem, ukrył się na szczycie Monte Titano (najwyższe z siedmiu wzgórz San Marino) i tam założył małą wspólnotę chrześcijańską. Właścicielka ziemi, pani Rimini zapisała ją w testamencie wspólnocie chrześcijańskiej. Jest pewnym, że okolice były zamieszkane od czasów prehistorycznych, chociaż ślady bytności na Monte Titano sięgają jedynie średniowiecza. Na pamiątkę kamieniarza, ziemię nazwano Ziemią San Marino, by w końcu zmienić ją na nazwę, którą ma do dziś: Republika San Marino. W wieku lombardzkim San Marino było lennem książąt Spoleto, ale wolna wspólnota sięga aż do X w. Pierwotna struktura rządu była złożona z samorządowego zgromadzenia zwanego Arengo, które składało się z głowy każdej rodziny. Mit vollen Tanks steuerten wir Thiene LIDH an. Für Asiago war es leider schon zu spät. Asiago LIDA schließt um 19 Uhr. Außerdem sah das Wetter dort nicht gut aus. Nach mehreren Telefonate kamen wir im Hotel Ariane unter. Direkt daneben ist das Ristorante Pizzeria Ai Cappuccini, wo wir eine besonders gute Pizza aßen. Unser 3,5 km langer Fußmarsch (es war schwierig, ein Taxi zu bekommen) hatte sich also gelohnt. Für den nächsten Morgen sagte uns das Hotel aber einen kostenlosen Shuttle zum Flugplatz zu.

A Cava dei Balestrieri, um espaço histórico usado para demonstrações de tiro com bestas, é um ponto de interesse único antes de chegar ao majestoso Palazzo Pubblico, o centro político da República. A Chiesa di San Francesco, com as suas obras de arte e tranquilidade, enriquece ainda mais a experiência.

San Marino is an independent mountainous microstate surrounded by Italian territory. Among the world’s oldest republic, it retains much of its historic architecture. The city was founded by Saint Marinus and several Christian refugees in the year 301. Its area is about 61.2 km square. Its flag has two colors – sky blue represents the “sky” and white represents “ snow/ice”. The three towers are also prominent on the flag.
On the mountain’s eastern ridge, a path links three towers, part of the city’s ancient defensive system. These include the Castello della Guaita, a small fortress with crenellated walls enclosing a watchtower. On the slope of Monte Titano sits the capital which is known for its medieval walled old town and narrow cobblestone streets.
More than three million people per year visit the city out of which 85% are Italian and developed as a tourist center. Cars are prohibited in much of the town center. It is the smallest country amongst the members of UN. Its also a member of European Union. Its GDP is 2.1 billion dollars, out of which 2.4% is spent on education, 0.2% on agriculture and 6.1% on health. There is no airport, no college, no university except High school.
San Marino do no accept dual nationality. Females have more rights than males. San Marino has scenic beauty and a beautiful place to visit.

So, friends, I am here with my new vlog of the Southern Europe Series. In this episode of my travel, I will share my experience of a day's visit to San Marino. In this episode, I will show you the top attractions of the oldest republic in the world.
• Where is San Marino?
San Marino or The Republic of San Marino is one of the oldest republics in the world. It has a unique historical and architectural heritage that became a trendy tourist destination. San Mario city is the name of its capital that stands on the slopes of Mount Titano.
• How to Get to San Marino?
The only way to reach San Marino is to take a land route as there is no airport in San Marino. Furthermore, it is surrounded by Italy from all sides, so you have to come here via Italy. However, the possible means to get into San Marino or taxis, Public buses, or self-drive. Out of these options, most travelers do it on Public buses. Bonelli Bus Company provides daily service between RIMINI and SAN MARINO, which runs all year round. One side ticket cost is 5 Euro and you can take your bus beside the Rimini Train Station.
• How to Visit The Oldest Republic in the World?
I was on a day tour from Rimini. I have a plan to reach there early in the morning, however, due to my bad, I arrived here late morning. It is a worth seeing place as the medieval old town winds along small cobblestone streets that are surrounded by ancient walls. San Marino is the 5th smallest in the world and one of Europe’s tiniest countries with an area of 61km square.
