It is operated by Groupe ADP (Aéroports de Paris) under the brand Paris Aéroport.
In 2022, the airport handled 57,474,033 passengers and 34,657 aircraft movements,[4] thus making it the world's ninth busiest airport and Europe's third busiest airport (after Istanbul and Heathrow) in terms of passenger numbers. Charles de Gaulle is also the busiest airport within the European Union. In terms of cargo traffic, the airport is the eleventh busiest in the world and the busiest in Europe, handling 2,102,268 tonnes (2,069,066 long tons; 2,317,354 short tons) of cargo in 2019.[5] It is also the airport that is served by the greatest number of airlines, with more than 105 airlines operating at the airport.[6]
As of 2017, the airport offered direct flights to the most countries and hosts the most airlines in the world.[7] Marc Houalla has been the director of the airport since 12 February 2018.
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport covers 32.38 square kilometres (12.50 sq mi) of land. The airport area, including terminals and runways, spans over three départements and six communes:
Seine-et-Marne département: Le Mesnil-Amelot (Terminal 2E, Satellites S3 and S4, and Terminal 2F), Mauregard (Terminals 1, 3), and Mitry-Mory (Terminal 2G) communes;[8]
Seine-Saint-Denis département: Tremblay-en-France (Terminals 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D and Roissypôle) commune;[8]
Val-d'Oise département: Roissy-en-France and Épiais-lès-Louvres communes.
The choice of constructing an international aviation hub outside of central Paris was made due to a limited prospect of potential relocations or expropriations and the possibility of further expanding the airport in the future.
Management of the airport lies solely on the authority of Groupe ADP, which also manages Orly (south of Paris), Le Bourget (to the immediate southwest of Charles de Gaulle Airport, now used for general aviation and Paris Air Shows), several smaller airfields in the suburbs of Paris, and other airports directly or indirectly worldwide

Trajet intégral entre les gares de Paris - Austerlitz et de Toulouse Matabiau à bord de voitures Corail Intercités ex-Téoz tractées par la locomotive BB 26025 en livrée fantôme ! (enfin c'est censé car la saleté a un peu pris le dessus du coup !😆)Pour fêter le cap des 2000 abonnés atteint sur ma chaîne YouTube, j'ai voulu voir les choses en grand en très grand même et donc de filmer un des plus longs voyages possibles en France !
Nous allons donc parcourir la ligne POLT (Paris - Orléans - Limoges - Toulouse), une des principales lignes radiales du réseau ferroviaire français, ce en intégralité et en première classe pour l'occasion pour une durée de voyage de 7 heures !!!
Durant notre très long périple à travers la plus longue ligne d'Intercités de jour du pays, nous allons tout d'abord emprunter la ligne du PO (Paris - Orléans) de Paris - Austerlitz aux Aubrais - Orléans qui sera également notre première gare d'arrêt.
Puis nous parcourrons l'intégralité de la ligne des Aubrais - Orléans à Montauban-Ville-Bourbon en débutant par le parcours du tout premier tronçon de ligne classique en France a avoir été apte à une vitesse de 200 km/h situé entre Orléans et Vierzon en traversant notamment la région naturelle forestière de la Sologne.
Après Limoges, le profil de la ligne commencera à être plus sinueux au fur et à mesure que nous traverserons une partie du Massif Central avec de nombreux tunnels et viaducs ferroviaires qui sont pour certains de remarquables ouvrages d'art !
Enfin peu avant la gare de Montauban - Ville-Bourbon, nous emprunterons sur un court tronçon la ligne de Bordeaux - Saint-Jean à Sète-Ville en traversant notamment le massif forestier le plus vaste du Tarn-et-Garonne qu'est la forêt domaniale d'Agre à Montech pour enfin arriver dans la ville rose !
