10 fun things to do in Minnesota this Summer

For your summer adventure planning 😊

1. @fishsunflowers has many locations around the state and they’re usually in their prime at the end of July! It’s free to visit but PLEASE be respectful of the flowers.

2. @mplswatertaxi takes you down the Mississippi River to see the sights of the city from the water! Cruises start at $80 for an hour and you can bring your own food and drinks aboard.

3. @duluthtrains is home of the North Shore Scenic Railroad. It starts and ends in Duluth with multiple trip options. Starts at $22 for adults but I highly recommend the first class upgrade for the glass dome roof, drinks, food, and A/C included!

4. @pleasantgrovepizzafarm located in Waseca is the ultimate pizza farm experience with goats, llamas, and amazing pizza made from ingredients grown on site! Bring your own chairs, blankets, drinks, etc.

5. Kayak or float down Minnehaha creek. The creek runs from Lake Minnetonka to the Mississippi. Hop on for a stretch to enjoy the urban creek, just make sure to look up water conditions first and be respectful of the many backyards it flows through.

6. @spiritmtduluth alpine coaster is located just outside of Duluth and so fun! Tickets for the coaster start at $11 or buy an all day wristband to enjoy the whole adventure park!

7. @redheadcreamery is located in Brooten, just outside of Alexandria. Grab a beer/wine, tour the dairy farm, and learn how cheese is made! Afterwards enjoy fresh cheese curds and treats while you explore their gift shop.

8. @skybrothersparagliding is for all you adrenaline junkies or those of you who want to parachute but don’t want to jump out of a plane 🫣 I ride tandem-style and it’s the most amazing and surprisingly calming experience.

9. Hike bean and bear lake in Silver Bay on the north shore. It’s our favorite hike in Minnesota and has the best views! Moderate difficulty level as there is elevation gain.

10. @bigstone_minigolf in Minnetrista is a fun family or date idea. Make your way through artist designed holes and explore the sculpture garden afterwards!

Bloomington, MN - Minnesotas 4th Largest City

Bloomington is a suburban city in Hennepin County, Minnesota, on the north bank of the Minnesota River, above its confluence with the Mississippi River, 10 miles (16 km) south of downtown Minneapolis.[5] At the 2020 census, the city's population was 89,987,[2] making it Minnesota's fourth-largest city

Minneapolis - 4K City Tour by Drone #dronefootage #tour #minnesota

Minneapolis - 4K City Tour by Drone: is a city in and the county seat of Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States. With a population of 429,954, it is the state's most populous city as of the 2020 census. It occupies both banks of the Mississippi River and adjoins Saint Paul, the state capital of Minnesota. Minneapolis, Saint Paul, and the surrounding area are collectively known as the Twin Cities, a metropolitan area with 3.69 million residents. Minneapolis is built on an artesian aquifer on flat terrain, and is known for cold, snowy winters and hot, humid summers. Nicknamed the City of Lakes, Minneapolis is abundant in water, with thirteen lakes, wetlands, the Mississippi River, creeks, and waterfalls. The city's public park system is connected by the Grand Rounds National Scenic Byway.

Dakota people originally inhabited the site of today's Minneapolis. European colonization and settlement began north of Fort Snelling along Saint Anthony Falls—the only natural waterfall on the Mississippi River. The city's early growth was attributed to its proximity to the fort and the falls providing power for industrial activity. Minneapolis was the 19th-century lumber and flour milling capital of the world, and as home to the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis has preserved its financial clout into the 21st century. A Minneapolis Depression-era labor strike brought about federal worker protections. Work in Minneapolis contributed to the computing industry, and the city is the birthplace of General Mills, the Pillsbury brand, Target Corporation, and of Thermo King mobile refrigeration.

The city's major arts institutions include the Minneapolis Institute of Art, the Walker Art Center, and the Guthrie Theater. Four professional sports teams play downtown. Prince is survived by his favorite venue, the First Avenue nightclub. Minneapolis is home to the University of Minnesota's main campus. The city's public transport is provided by Metro Transit and the international airport, serving the Twin Cities region, is located towards the south on the city limits.

Residents adhere to more than fifty religions, and thousands choose to volunteer their time. Despite its well-regarded quality of life,[17] Minneapolis faces a pressing challenge in the form of stark disparities among its residents—arguably the most critical issue confronting the city in the 21st century. Governed by a mayor-council system, Minneapolis has a political landscape dominated by the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL), with Jacob Frey serving as mayor since 2018.

💡 Lake Minnetonka facts
✔ Minnetonka means big lake in the Dakota language. Lake Minnetonka is a lake located approximately 15 miles west-southwest of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Today Lake Minnetonka is a collection of 16 interconnecting lakes with about 23 named bays and areas. Lake Minnetonka averages 30 feet deep while the maximum depth is 101 to 113 feet in Crystal Bay. At 14,528 acres, it is Minnesota's ninth largest lake and is popular among boaters, sailors, and fishermen.
✔ It's so beautiful and quiet place near the Twin Cities area. There are many expensive homes and mansions in Lake Minnetonka neighborhoods. Most expensive homes in Minnesota are there.
✔ Top of the list of things to do on one of the largest lakes in Minnesota is to take a Lake Minnetonka boat cruise. Founded in 1882, Minnetonka Yacht Club is one of the oldest yacht clubs in the country.
✔ Some of the most visited attractions on Lake Minnetonka are restaurants. Al & Alma's Supper Club and Charter Cruises was founded in Mound in 1956 and is Lake Minnetonka's oldest continually-operated restaurant and cruise line.
✔ The Old Log Theater, located in Greenwood, first opened in 1940 and is now Minnesota's oldest professional theater organization. Alumni of the theater include actors Nick Nolte and Loni Anderson.
✔ Lake Minnetonka is home to several regional parks. The largest among these are Lake Minnetonka Regional Park in Minnetrista and Noerenberg Gardens in Orono. Three Rivers Park District also maintains two regional bike trails near the lake. Two other large public parks on Lake Minnetonka include Big Island Nature Park and the Excelsior Commons.
✔ Boating, sailing, and fishing are the most common activities on Lake Minnetonka. Boats of all sizes and horsepower may be legally launched on Lake Minnetonka, but speed and noise restrictions do apply. The lake has four active yacht clubs. Several cruise companies operate larger excursion vessels on the lake, the largest of which is Al & Alma's 83 foot Bella Vista. Lake Minnetonka's magnificent homes are a common highlight on these sightseeing, dinner, and brunch cruises.
✔ Other activities on Lake Minnetonka include swimming, kayaking, and standup paddle boarding during the summer, and ice fishing, snowmobiling, and ice yachting during the winter.
✔ Several community festivals are held around the lake each year. Some of the larger events include James J. Hill Days in Wayzata, Apple Day in Excelsior, and the Spirit of the Lakes Festival in Mound.
