Midelt functions as the market for an agricultural area extending from the Moulouya River to Jbel Ayachi, bounded on the east and west by dry plains. This region is best known for apples; other produce includes walnuts, apricots, plums, pomegranates, wheat, corn, and a wide variety of garden vegetables.

ياسين زروالي - مواصل - The best places to visit in Morocco 🇲🇦

Ten of the best, most amazing sites to see in #Morocco: Todra Gorge; Ait-Ben-Haddou; The Erg Chebbi Dunes (Merzouga, Saharan desert); Dades Gorge; The ruins of the Roman City of Volubilis; The four Imperial capitals of Morocco: Rabat; Meknes; Fès; Marrakech (Marrakesh). And at the end - the beautiful Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech.
6 of the 10 sites in the video are UNESCO World heritage Sites.

On this #trip you’ll be heading to Marrakech, the heart of Morocco, where spices linger in the market air, the sun sets on street performers, and the senses are treated to a whirlwind of sights and sounds. Discover life in the sprawling medina or get lost in the alleyways towards the souqs. Marvel at the tilework found in the royal Bahia Palace and Dar Si Said or learn how ancient traditions are woven into the fabric of Marrakech; there’s more than one way to fall in love with this cosmopolitan city.

Morocco is a North African country renowned for diversity, and this is one of the things that make it such a fascinating destination to visit. It’s a place where one will find many cultural influences, and the landscape offers visitors a chance to experience the ocean, Atlas Mountain peaks and the Sahara Desert all in one go. You might be travelling to one country, but in Morocco, there is a whole world to explore.

In Essaouira discover how coastal winds and different tribes can shape a port city. It’s a melting pot with Arab, Berber and European influences. While the sea attracts windsurfers, culture vultures flock to the medina’s alleyways for galleries and a spot of people watching. The vibrancy found in the country’s cities is matched by life in the Middle Atlas Mountains, where visitors can swap people watching and fortified walls for hiking, folk music and stargazing.

Observe nomadic shepherds, hike through limestone river canyons, enjoy impressive views and Berber hospitality and warmth as you make Midelt your basecamp for the Middle Atlas Mountains. As the sun goes down on the soaring peaks, the stars will light up the skies.

If we’ve inspired you to explore this north African country further, head over to TourRadar for all the different ways you can discover a world of flavour, culture and history in Morocco.

In this Morocco Travel Vlog we journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains to the apple capital of Morocco, Midelt.

The cool mountain air and stunning nature in the Middle Atlas made for a refreshing change from the bustling cities of Fez, Chefchaouen and Casablanca. We were surrounded by wildlife, including some unexpected surprises — don’t miss it!

As we travelled south to Midelt, the landscape changed dramatically, from the European-influence of northern Morocco, to the nomadic Berber, or Amazigh, south. Located on a high barren plateau (over 1,500 meters) between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains, Midelt is the perfect base for exploring both mountain ranges.

And then came the highlight of the trip — the hidden canyon of Berrem Gorge! We had no idea it even existed until it was almost upon us. What an incredible surprise!

Highlights:
- Scenic road trip from Fez to Midelt
- Seeing wild Barbary Macaque Monkeys and other Unexpected wildlife
- Discovering Berrem Gorge, a hidden gem in Morocco

If you're planning a Morocco road trip or looking for unique places to visit, this episode is a must-watch!
