JAPAN TRAVEL VLOG - EXPLORING ICHINOSEKI - TEMPLES, FOOD AND ARTISINAL ICE CREAM
A few years ago, I had an amazing foodie adventure in Japan. I visited many places off the normal tourist track, including the city of Ichinoseki in Iwate Prefecture. This city is about three hours north of Tokyo (via bullet train) in the northern part of the country.
This Japan travel vlog shows some of the highlights of my visit to Ichinoseki. It shows some of the temples I visited, some of the incredible meals I had and the cool little inn / guesthouse where I stayed. It was my first time visiting Japan and the first time sleeping on tatami mats.

小安峡温泉の自然風景 小安峡大噴湯/This is the Oyasukyo Daifunto in the Oyasukyo Onsen in Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture Japan, which is a tourist attraction in the beautiful valley of Japan and Tohoku. This place is a gorge in the upper reaches of the Minase River, which is a tributary of the Omono River, and is a tourist attraction with abundant nature that belongs to Kurikoma National Monument. The steam of the hot springs blows out violently from the canyon that has been deeply carved by the water flow of the Minase River, and you can enjoy the scenery of the lush nature with the rising steam. In addition, a promenade for sightseeing has been developed along the Minase River, and it is possible to see steam spouting up close.

Yokote kamakura(snow house) In the night in north Japan, the snow in Akita Yokote lights up with candle light. For 400 years, the people of Yokote have held this winter festival in time-honored tradition. By carving out a hollow in a mound of packed snow, kamakura(snow house) are created. At night, lights are lit within and people warm themselves here while eating grilled rice cakes and drinking amazake. As people walk past the snow house, children's voices can be heard from within shouting Haittetanse (Come in!) On days when the snow is falling heavily, their voices echo in the silence of the winter nights. During the festival period, more than 100 kamakura adorn the town, along with countless miniature kamakura.

Yokote is located in southeast corner of Akita Prefecture by the Ōu Mountains and Iwate Prefecture to the east. The Yokote Kamakura Festival has a history of about 400 years. It is held every year on February 15 and 16 in the city of Yokote in southeastern Akita Prefecture. The festival features many igloo-like snow houses, called kamakura, which are built at various locations across the city. Children inside the kamakura invite passers by inside. The candle lights of these snow kamakura produce a quiet, beautiful spectacle against the darkness.

Volcanic Hot Springs Oyasukyo - Autumn Leaves/小安峡温泉 小安峡大噴湯の紅葉(秋田県湯沢市/Akita Japan) This video is the Oyasukyo Daifunto, which is located on the northwest side of Route 398 from Oyasukyo Onsen in Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture Japan. It is a tourist attraction in a V-shaped canyon formed by the rapids of the Minase River eroding both banks for many years. Located in Kurikoma National Monument, it is also certified as a Geosite of Yuzawa Geopark. This area is located near Oyasukyo Onsen, which is located upstream, and is popular as a tourist destination because you can enjoy the magnificent scenery rich in nature throughout the four seasons. In addition to the fresh green and autumn leaves season, many tourists from inside and outside the prefecture visit throughout the year. Not only can you enjoy the scenery overlooking the Kawarayu Bridge over the Minase River. From the promenade where you can go down to the riverside, you can see the hot steam spouting through the gaps in the rock surface. Crossing National Route 398, there is a tourist product center with a free parking lot and toilets.
