Hello Everyone, welcome to The Unplanned Way.
Today we will be taking you to Gujarat Ahmedabad city tour in Gujarat. In this video we cover must visit places in ahmedabad and also ahmedabad food tour like the famous jalaram khaman surat. Among things to do in Ahmedabad, we cover adalaj ki vav/ adalaj stepwell ahmedabad, mahemdabad ganpati mandir, indroda park, statue of unity, sabarmati riverfront ahmedabad and vintage car museum ahmedabad.
On Day 1 in Gujarat, we cover main ahmedabad tourist places like Sabarmati ashram and the ahmedabad riverfront areas.
On Day 2, we cover places in ahmedabad to visit including the adalaj stepwell ahmedabad, indroda park ahmedabad, mahemdavad and vintage car museum ahmedabad.
On Day 3 of gujarat tourism and ahmedabad sightseeing, we cover the statue of unity tour.
We drove from Mumbai to Ahemedabad with a halt along the way at the Gujarati thali restaurant, Sasuma.
Our first stop amongst Ahmedabad tourist places was at the Sabarmati Ashram also known as the Gandhi Ashram situated at the Sabarmati Riverfront. It is near to the sabarmati railway station in gujarat ahmedabad city. At the Sabarmati ashram at sabarmati ahmedabad, there is an impressive museum that throws light on the life of Mahatma Gandhi. From the sabarmati ashram you can see the sabarmati riverfront ahmedabad.
It was from this sabarmati Ashram that Gandhiji led the Dandi March on 12 March 1930 which is known as Salt Satyagraha. Gandhiji along with his followers started the Dandi March from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi that is 241 miles away from Sabarmati Ahmedabad.
Hriday Kunj in the sabarmati ashram video was Gandhiji’s home in the Sabarmati Ashram.
Inside Gandhiji’s Room at sabarmati ahmedabad, is his original charkha and desk. Outside lies the veranda.To left, is Kasturba’s room and a guest room.
After the Sabarmati ashram tour, we headed to the Sabarmati Riverfront flower park which is at a 10mins drive distance. It is spread by the side of the sabarmati river.
We wanted to spend time by the riverfront so we went to the Sabarmati Riverfront Park. It is peaceful to sit by the ahmedabad riverfront and feel the fresh air and the calmness.
We started our Day 2 with Gujarati breakfast. We loved their style of serving in basket. We ordered chaat, patra or alu wadi, bread pakoda, fritters/bhajiya.
We then went to the Adalaj Stepwell ahmedabad also called Adalaj ki Vav. This monument, Adalaj stepwell ahmedabad is a five storey stepwell. Adalaj ki Vav is a fascinating structure built in such a way that the temperature inside the Adalaj stepwell ahmedabad is almost 6 degrees lesser than outside temperature. Next we headed to visit the Indroda Park Gandhinagar at 18km from Ahmedabad. Indroda Park is spread over an area of 400 hectares and regarded as India's Jurassic Park. Indroda park ahmedabad is very informative for kids.
We then decided to visit the Mahemdavad Ganpati Mandir at about 55 kms from Ahmedabad tourist point. The architecture of Mahemdavad Ganpati Mandir is like a cave. Mahemdavad Ganpati Mandir has a huge food court facility.
After taking blessings from the Mahemdavad Ganpati Mandir we went to visit our last stop from ahmedabad sightseeing. The Auto World Vintage car museum ahmedabad at the Dastan Estate. They also have a thali restaurant. One of the biggest personal collections by Bhogilal, you will find rare and wonderful assemblage of vehicles including a Bentley, Rolls Royce, Cadillac, Austin and Jaguar.
On Day 3, we left to visit the Statue of Unity tour created as a tribute to the ‘Iron Man of India’, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel statue in gujarat. The Statue of Unity India is an iconic 182 meters tall. Best time to visit the Statue of Unity Ahmedabad is from October to February. There are many accommodation options at the statue of unity gujarat.We went to see Sardar Sarovar Dam which is the third highest concrete dam in India.On our way back to Mumbai we stopped to have the famous rasawala khaman and locho at Jalaram Khaman Surat.
