Kilembe Mines is a copper and cobalt mine in Uganda, the third-largest economy in the East African Community. The mine is located in Kilembe, a suburb of the town of Kasese, in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains in the Western Region of Uganda The mine is approximately 380 kilometres (236 mi), by road, west of Kampala, the country's capital and largest city. The coordinates of Kilembe Mines are:0°12'30.0N, 30°00'25.0E (Latitude:0.208333; Longitude:30.006944). Kilembe Mines is Uganda's largest copper mine, with estimated deposits of copper in excess of 4,000,000 tonnes and an undetermined amount of cobalt ore. In addition, there approximately 2,800 acres (1,100 ha), of unexplored acreage at the site.In July 1950, two Canadian mining companies, Frosbisher Limited and Ventures Limited, formed a joint venture, named Kilembe Mines Limited (KML), whose objective was to mine copper from under the Rwenzori Mountains near Kasese. KML built and operated a copper smelter in Jinja and maintained offices in Kampala, the country's capital. Other assets include a housing estate for staff in Kasese and the 5MW Mubuku I Power Station in the Rwenzori Mountains. In 1962, KML was acquired by Falconbridge of Africa, who sold it to the Government of Uganda in 1975. Copper extraction ceased in 1982 due to dilapidated equipment, high inflation and insecurity. In 2013, after nearly 30 years of dormancy and after several failed attempts to privatize the mine, a consortium led by Tibet-Hima Mining Company Limited, won the competitive bid to manage, rehabilitate and operate Kilembe Mines Limited for 25 years from 2013 until 2038. In exchange for those rights, the consortium paid a cash down payment of US$4.3 million and is expected to make an annual payment of US$1 million until the end of the concession. Also, the consortium will invest US$135 million into rehabilitating and improving the mine and will increase the capacity of Mubuku I Power Station to 12MW. In addition to the cash payments above, the Ugandan government will receive royalties on the minerals extracted as well as taxes from Kilembe Mines Limited business operations.

In this video we are on our way to the hot springs of Kikuletwa. The hot springs of Kikuletwa, also known as Chemka Hot Springs, are close to the village of Rundugai and are one of the most beautiful places in Tanzania to relax. The small pond is surrounded by palm and fig trees with winding roots. In the morning, Blue Monkeys can often be observed in the trees, whilst the crystal clear, turquoise water invites you to a refreshing bath. Although they are called hot springs, the water in Kikuletwa is not truly ‘hot’ but refreshing, as the water source is fed by Kilimanjaro itself.

4K | Ultimate African Safari and Gorilla Trek in Uganda
In 2018 I went on a safari trip in Uganda, the landlocked African country at the equator. The journey started in Entebbe at Lake Vicoria and continued to Queen Elisabeth National Park with the broad Kazinga channel and the tree-dwelling lions. In the rain forest of the Kibale National Park I watched the chimpanzees in the tree tops. The highlight of the journey was the Mountain Gorilla trekking in the heart of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park next to the volcanoes of Virunga. Further stops were at Lake Bunyonyi (world's fourth deepest lake), Lake Mburo National Park and the Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre in Entebbe. In the video you can see the notorious big five animals (lion, buffalo, rhino, elephant and leopard) in their natural habitat.

Lake Mutanda is nestled in the foothills of the Virunga Mountain Range at an altitude of 1,800 meters (5,900 ft). The three volcanoes within the range that are partly located in Uganda, namely: Mount Muhabura, Mount Sabinyo, and Mount Gahinga, can be viewed from Lake Mutanda. There are several islands in the lake. The lake is drained by the Rutshuru River, which flows northward to Lake Edward. Flora and fauna
The countryside around the lake includes forests and wetland habitats that provide a haven for the endangered mountain gorilla. In addition to the mountain gorilla and golden monkey in the nearby Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. The lakeside bird species include kingfisher, kites, ibis, and Uganda's national bird, the crested crane. Weaver bird nests are a common site among the reeds along the lake shore.

UGANDA THE PEARL OF AFRICA, Welcome to Lake Mburo National Park
#Ugandamyhome Lake Mburo National Park is the only place where you can spot the impalas in Uganda, antelopes as well as the Elands. There are also many herds of buffalos and Zebras with in this national park.
This national park is over 260 sq km as being the smallest park in Uganda, and it has got a mosaic habitat, the rocky outcrops, dry hillside, the open wooded savannah forest, the bush thickets, lakes as well as the swamps that are home to variety of animals and plants. This national park also lies with in a rain shadow that is between Lake Victoria and the great Rwenzori Mountains and this gives a very good stop to the attractions of the south west as Lake Bunyonyi and Queen Elizabeth National park.
