The guest chef Paco Morales from the Noor restaurant (2 MICHELIN stars) in Córdoba, was accompanied by two amazing hosts on his journey: Iván Cerdeño, from 2 MICHELIN star restaurant Iván Cerdeño in Toledo and Pepe Rodríguez from El Bohío in Illescas, 1 MICHELIN star. The dinner at Cigarral Viñedos de Santa María was the first of a series of unforgettable experiences like visiting the workshop of Mazapán Santo Tomé, at Bodega Loranque or the painting The Burial of the Lord of Orgaz, a masterpiece by El Greco. The meals at El Bohío and Iván Cerdeño showed the high level of Castilian-La Mancha gastronomy, and left us with the best taste in our mouths for the next MICHELIN Guide Spain & Portugal 2023 Gala.

Toledo is mostly known as the old capital and for of course The Primatial Cathedral of Saint Mary of Toledo otherwise known as Toledo Cathedral. Besides that you will find an old Synagogue from the 12th century and the Monasterio de San Juan de los Reyes.
We walk through its many narrow streets, discover some viewpoints over Toledo from the outside of the city and have some food and discover the city at night when the Christmas nights are lit.

A Walk Around Toledo, Spain
Toledo (Spanish: is a city and municipality located in central Spain, it is the capital of the province of Toledo and the autonomous community of Castile–La Mancha. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 for its extensive cultural and monumental heritage and historical co-existence of Christian, Muslim and Jewish cultures.
Toledo is known as the Imperial City for having been the main venue of the court of Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor, and as the City of the Three Cultures, having been influenced by a historical co-existence of Christians, Muslims and Jews. Toledo has a history in the production of bladed weapons, which are now popular souvenirs of the city.
People who were born or have lived in Toledo include Brunhilda of Austrasia, Al-Zarqali, Garcilaso de la Vega, Eleanor of Toledo, Alfonso X and El Greco. It was also the place of important historic events such as the Visigothic Councils of Toledo. As of 2015, the city has a population of 83,226 and an area of 232.1 km2 (89.6 sq mi).

Walking through its streets one feels like having stepped back into the Middle-Ages, but in the best sense of it, and perhaps you will search your pockets for a few gold-ducats to buy some of Toledo's fine artisany or just to enjoy of its highly recommendable cuisine.

Magnificent Toledo, Spain seen via fun Tourist Train Tour
Toledo, Spain is one of the most picturesque and well-preserved historic towns in all of Spain. It's no wonder that at one point it was Spain's capital until roughly 1560.
It's an absolute joy for walking to take in all of the abundance of historic sights and buildings. Second best is to take one of special tourist train tours that lasts roughly 45 minutes and circles the entire town from outside the wall. We can't recommend it enough - it is definitely not a tourist-trap of any sort. Ideal for everyone, from bored kids, to elderly people who have mobility issues or those just wanting to have fun. Along the way, it stops at several places to get some of the best photographs of the city, not to mention selfies galore. Feel free to ask any questions that might pop in your mind, I'll try to help. Can't recommend this enough.
