Kasbachtal near Linz am Rhein Germany: Motorcycle ride and hike in fall 4K
Short motorcycle ride on a Royal Enfield and hike through the Kasbachtal at Linz am Rhein. The hike starts at Gary Blackburn's Little Britain in Kalenborn and leads to the brewery Steffens near Linz am Rhein on a feeder trail of the Rheinsteig. The Kasbachtalbahn is a non-electrified, single-track branch line, which originally connected 35.2 km Linz (Rhine) (right Rhine line) with Flammersfeld (Holzbachtalbahn). It ran between Wiedmühle and Peterslahr in the valley of the river Wied, between Linz on the Rhine and Kalenborn it runs in the valley of the stream Kasbach.
Since April 4, 1999 on the 8.9 km long remaining section between Linz am Rhein and Kalenborn by the Eifelbahn Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH (EVG) a tourist traffic with Uerdinger rail busses offered. It takes place on weekends from March to December and Wednesdays from May to October every hour.
The railway line is one of the steepest sections of Germany. The biggest gradient is 5.7%, the difference in altitude between Linz am Rhein and Kalenborn is around 300 m.

Linz Burg / Burg Linz / Linz Castle is famous for Destination wedding. Rudesheim and Koblenz are also a famous historical place nearby it.
I did a short trip through Germany and Belgium starting from the Netherlands. My first stop was at Bonn and from there I did a day trip to Linz am Rhein. They day was a bit special, I got sun, rain and wind. Despite that, it was an enjoyable trip there, my only regret is not continuing until Koblenz, a city a bit more to the south, on the banks of the Rhine
On this video I’m just going to walk the city, and show you a bit of it.

Linz am Rhein ist eine wunderbare kleine Stadt mit unzähligen Fachwerkhäuser, kleinen Geschäften und netten Leuten. Durch die direkte Lage am Rhein und dem Siebengebirge bietet dieser schöne Ort auch noch alternative Möglichkeiten seine Zeit an der frischen Luft zu verbringen. Besonders in den warmen Monaten des Jahres lockt die Stadt mit Märkten und Festen. Fazit: Auf jeden Fall sehr sehenswert!
