Last week, we embarked on a remarkable journey to northern Sarawak, discovering new places and revisiting the iconic Mulu Cave, a location we first explored alongside our son two decades ago.
In addition to our Sarawak adventure, Brighton Travel & Tour Sdn. Bhd, our travel agency, organized a day tour of Brunei. An exciting highlight was capturing astrophotos standing inside the rice field at night. Our motive? Looking for the perfect foreground for our shots!
This video will focus on our time in Miri, the opening chapter of a series encompassing Miri, Mulu, Brunei, and Niah.

What to do in Limbang, Sarawak? Staying at the BEST HOTEL in Limbang?! 🤔 | Sarawak Vlog 🇲🇾
Hi, welcome back! From previous video, we were driving from Kota Kinabalu to Miri, but we got stuck at Tedungan Immigration which leads us to staying overnight in Limbang. I quickly go to Google and search for our accommodation through Agoda. I end up choosing Purnama Hotel after going through the reviews. Location was very good! Interior was a bit old, but aircond was strong and bed was comfy, that's all I need.
Things I didn't mention in the video, breakfast was buffet style with nasi lemak, fried rice, noodles, porridge with arrays of fruits. Coffee and tea also included.Yet I was still longing for the taste of local food, hence we went to Bangunan Pasar Limbang to find many local stalls selling local food like kolo mee.
Whenever I go to a new town, I would love to try their local food! Definitely go to Bangunan Pasar Limbang if you happen to drop by here and enjoy a nice breakfast :)

Limbang is a border town and the capital of Limbang District in the Limbang Division of northern Sarawak, East Malaysia, on the island of Borneo. This district area is 3,978.10 square kilometres,[2] and population (year 2020 census) was 56,900. It is located on the banks of the Limbang River (Sungai Limbang in Malay), between the two halves of Brunei.In 1884, there was a rebellion by Limbang residents protesting against the high tax rate imposed by the Bruneian Empire. William Hood Treacher, who held the dual position as the governor of North Borneo and British Royal Consul at Labuan, saw an opportunity to acquire more territories from the Bruneian empire. Treacher offered himself to mediate the taxation dispute between the local chiefs and the Bruneian empire. He sailed to Brunei on H.M.S Pegasus, backed by British navy. Treacher successfully arranged for peace in the Limbang region after Temenggong Hashim agreed not to impose any more arbitrary taxes. After the event, Treacher leased Padas River, Klias Peninsula, Bongawan, and Tawaran (now Tuaran) from the sultan of Brunei for $ 3000 payment per year@BWBeautifulworldTV

Limbang is a border town and the capital of Limbang District of northern Sarawak, East Malaysia, on the island of Borneo.
It is located on the banks of the Limbang River (Sungai Limbang in Malay), between the two halves of Brunei. It is at least a two-hour drive (depending on how busy the Customs/Immigration Checkpoint is) to Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei.
You can reach Limbang via Miri or Labuan. For the adventurous ones, you can walk to Mulu National Park via the so-called Headhunter's Trail.

Sungai Limbang mengikut geografinya bermula dari Bukit Batu Lawi di Tanah Tinggi Kelabit dan berakhir di Teluk Brunei. Panjang sebenarnya kira-kira 196 km namun hanya 88 km saja yang diwartakan sebagai Sungai Limbang. Selebihnya digelar dengan nama-nama sungai lain.
