Nottuln is a municipality in the district of Coesfeld in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, #germany .

Original settlement of the Nottuln area dates back to about 4000 BC. The name of Nottuln originates from Nutlon, which is probably early German for nut wood. A church was founded in 860 by Liudger, as well as the first convent in Westphalia.

After a destructive fire in 1748, the parish church and surrounding convent district were rebuilt in baroque style by Johann Conrad Schlaun.

Urlaub in Leeden

Im Kreis Steinfurt gibt es viel zu entdecken. Unsere Kollegin Doris Stotz führt euch durch das schöne Tecklenburg-Leeden und macht euch auf ein paar Orte und Sehenswürdigkeiten aufmerksam. Vom Dorfteich über den Skulpturenpark geht es über den Hermannsweg bis zu dem Hinweis auf die Möglichkeit gut zu essen oder zu campen.

Münsterland 2022: Wanderung von Ahaus nach Legden vorbei an Wasserschlössern, Fröschen und Bienen

Ausgangspunkt unserer Wanderung ist Legden im Münsterland. Wir parken unser Auto beim Bahnhof und fahren mit dem Zug nach Ahaus, um von dort wieder nach Legden zurück zu laufen. In Ahaus betrachten wir zunächst von außen das imposante Wasserschloss, bevor es nach Legden weitergeht. Zunächst ein längeres Stück an der Landstraße entlang, doch dann biegen wir in den Wald ab. Unterwegs entdecken wir einen kleinen Teich mitten im Wald und sehen dort viele Frösche. Wir kommen an einem Bienenstock vorbei und lauschen dem Summen der fleißigen Bienen. Etwas unangenehmere Geräusche nehmen wir dann bei der Überquerung einer Autobahn wahr, bevor wir kurz vor Legden zu einem weiteren Wasserschloss, dem Haus Egelborg kommen. Den Hof darf man leider nicht betreten, aber auch von außen hinterlässt das Schloss einen sehenswerten Eindruck.
